Very expensive, nothing great about the site, free mildew in the men's shower, lackadasical staff

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are proud to be a presidental award winning campground. Known for our clean restrooms. Just check out the other reviews that praise our staff and note our clean restrooms. There is no mildew in bathhouses as they are sparkling clean.

Overall a very nice campground. Owner(s) were pleasant. Outside grounds people and escort could not do enough. My only issue was first night arrival, young lady that checked us in needs a wee bit more customer service training. Again, if we go back to the Memphis area we will stay at this campground again.

It's an old campground and they don't take very good care of it. The pull-throughs were very narrow. And the fee was very high.

We had a wonderful stay here. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The facility was well laid out and very clean. We will be back

$50.00 Pet Fee!!! We choose to stay at KOA Campgrounds for the usual Pet Friendly policy, however, at this Site, the Pet Fee was actually higher than the Cabin Fee! The cabins are very close to the Highway: lots of road noise made it a hard to sleep night. Spiders and mosquitoes inside the cabin made it very uncomfortable, including a wasp's nest on the porch

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Our cabin pet fee is $ 1.00 per night. The $50.00 pet security deposit is returned at checkout. As was this campers deposit. Our cabins are cleaned and sprayed each day as they are high volume. This camper did not even come in and tell anyone their issues. We are open to 9:00 pm.

Too costly. Not friendly or helpfull Too much road noise

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are a presidental award winning campground with a friendly staff we are proud of. We are comparably priced for the area and have free cable and free wifi which other parks around here do not have. We also have a swimming pool and general store and a cafe.

GOOD LOCATION. EZ ACCESS TO I-55. SHADY LOTS. CONVENIENT TO MEMPHIS ATTRACTIONS.

Very noisy campground... Train runs every hour on the hour ALL NIGHT LONG...

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

There are train tracks a mile away. They are freight trains. They do not run every hour on the hour.

Nice KOA, clean and very well kept. Breakfast was good and the people in the office helpful. Loved the fact we could take a tour bus into the city so we didnt have to take RV.

Great campground, but the showers could use a little work...maybe some of the staff might take a shower there and figure out where they need more hooks and where the drain is loose and likely to cut. Also they need to put a sign on the dryers to use high heat...$4 to dry a load of clothes is highway robbery!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are very proud of our clean restrooms and get lots of compliments on them. Our dryers are $2.00 to dry a normal load of laundry. Sometimes overloading the dryer you will need more coins. Our 24 hr laundry is very popular with our campers.

I would not recommend this camp ground for people with tents. The tent area is right next to the highway. Along with the noise from the trucks there is the train line as well and it's virtually impossible to sleep. The rec room needs extender hours, closing at 6 is far to early. Perhaps close with the shop at 9am.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The recreation hall and game room closes at 8:00pm not 6:00 this time of year. We have a tenting area behind the office for campers use that has water and electric away from the road.

Nice campground but dusty, dusty, dusty. We asked about concrete pads when we called but were told that all sites were gravel - but when we arrived some sites did have concrete. Either we were too large for them or they are not used for overnight guests - not sure which - but it would have been nice to have had that clarified instead of being told there weren't any.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We boast 70 ft big rig sites very popular with campers. Guests love that they don't have to unhitch their rig. We have sites that are gravel. Some of the sites have limited concrete surface. Southern weather changes daily here. Dry one day wet the next.

Was not as nice as other KOA's. Would have been nice to have grass around the picnic table area instead of rocks. Hosts were very friendly and helpful.

After driving for 12 hours pull in KOA and given sight 2B was escorted to sight. Plugged in, Slides out, cable hooked up and then realized no power to motor home. Called office - fortunately staff still there. They came right away but we had to move to another sight. Staff noted they had had some trouble with that plug. that sight should not have been given. I do want to commend the staff.

Stayed here to visit Memphis and with suggestions from owner saw other area attractions. Nicely kept andcomfortable.

Nice campground. Too bad we could only stay a few hours. We were on our way home from Sturgis. This was our second night here as we stopped on the way up to South Dakota too.

The Mosquitos in the park were terrible and the dog park obviously hasn't been mowed in long time. The kids had fun on a few of the banana bikes but of about 12 they have only 4 worked.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The banana bikes are enjoyed for no charge and we only own six not twelve. The dog park has been mowed and this summer the grass is growing at a rate of six inches a week. Last week was a very rainy week. All is well now.

I'll have to rethink staying at any more KOA since i was charged a fee for bringing my pets along. I stay at a lot of campgrounds and never have been charged a pet fee any where else

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We have a great dog park and a great dog walk for the small fee of $1.00 a pet. We feel as pet owners ourselves being able to bring along our pets is a small price to pay. Kennels charge $25.00 a night and one time campgrounds don't allow pets at all. The pet park has to be maintained daily.

easy to get into as we needed long pull thru loved to pool very clean and not cold. Bathrooms also clean will come back if in area again
Aug 13, 2013
Water pipe burst so no water for awhile. No discount or accommodations made for this inconvenience--had to buy bottled water. Toilets obviously didn't work, etc. Pool gross.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

There was a waterpipe that burst from a dog leash that got wrapped around a pipe and broke it. The water was down less than and hour. The toilets will not flush when the water is shutdown. All was well after it was repaired promptly. We maintain a sparkling clean swimming pool and bathhouse.

Nice, Good Breakfast

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Our cooks at the Cafe are known for the wonderful food they prepare. Their food is so special because of all the southern love they put in their food! lol.
Aug 12, 2013
Friendly staff, clean and neat park. Kids have lots to do.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for the compliment on our park! We are in the business of helping families make great memories! We love kids and happy campers! Have a Great day and come see us again soon!

Was not fully impressed with this Kampground, considering the signage posted that sad faces are not allowed, maybe some of the staff need to spend some time studying this signage. As you would know, when you are working in an industry that requires interaction with others then people skills are a must.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are known for our wonderful, friendly staff at the Memphis KOA, as we have earned the President's Award. Our staff here is awesome and yes its true, no sad faces are allowed here. It is not posted on signage lol. Its in our brochure and is meant to be viewed as humorous. We have alot of fun!

Great Location, will be back. Day Staff very cordial.
Aug 08, 2013
Lovely camp with great staff. Very clean showers etc. The location was a bit too far out of town especially as we only had an RV and no car, we had a bad experience getting a taxi to the camp from the town, would not recommend that to anyone! Love being in Nashville now. Will recommend KOA to all back home in England.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are just twenty minutes to downtown Memphis. There are several options for campers without a car. One popular option is the tour bus that services our campground. We also have a rental car service that will bring you a car. The cab company comes often and campers seem to like the options.
Aug 08, 2013
Pro: Right off of Hwy 55, shady and well laid out sites. Had a good breakfast in the cafe. WiFi system was one of the best of the KOA's we have stayed at. Con: Right off of Hwy 55, so you get road noise.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thanks for the compliment on our park. We are close to the highway and alot of our campers are overnight guests that enjoy the clean bathrooms & pull through sites, so they don't have to unhook their RV. We also welcome campers without reservations and also have after hours registration.
Aug 07, 2013
This KOA was adequate to take care of our needs. We would be happy to stay there again.
Aug 06, 2013
It isn't bad, no complaints.
Aug 06, 2013
Clean showers and free use of banana bikes for the kids (we have 4)! Nice camp store. Didn't get a chance to use the pool but did play in the playground. The kids enjoyed it. Felt safe and able to take a break from our travels. It is close to the interstate but that didn't bother us. This wasn't our destination as we were traveling across the country. Others talked of Shuttle to Memphis attraction
Aug 06, 2013
Beautiful views, helpful staff...great place to stay.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for the compliment. Yes we are in a country setting surrounded by farm fields and in a safe area. We are just twenty minutes from downtown Memphis and thirty minutes to Graceland. We are a presidential award winning campground and proud of our park!
