Cabin Check-in: 3:00pm / Cabin Check-out: 1:00pm. No early or late check-ins/check-outs. Campsites Check-in / Check-out is 2:00pm. No early check-ins on Saturdays and days during holiday weekends unless you purchase previous night. Check at office the the evening prior to, or the morning of your check-in for all other days, and then pending availability. $5.00/Hour Charge. All check-ins should be made during normal store/office hours. No check-ins after 11:00pm Quiet Hours. Call us to make arrangements for late check-ins during normal store/office hours for gate access. All RV check-ins are escorted to their campsites and require special arrangements for after hours for gate acess, and escort.
Store/Office Hours: Memorial Day Weekend thru Labor Day Mon-Thurs 9-8, Fri & Sat 9-9, Sun 9-7. Spring and fall (prior to Memorial Day Weekend and after Labor Day Weekend) we close one hour earlier. Check-in should be made during normal store/office hours. If arrival will be after store/office closing, you must make arrangements in advance for entry to our gated park.
All guests and campers must register at the office and pay the prevailing visitor or camping fees. Additional campers (over night stays) are $8.00/adult per night, and $4.00/child per night. Day visitors are $4.00/adult per day, and children are $2.00 per child per day. Adults are 19 years old and over. Children under 5 are free. Day guests must depart by 11:00 pm.
Pool hours: Open Swim is Noon - 4 & 5 - 8 Daily except Sundays, closes at 7:00. Adults only swim 4-5pm. Children under 12 require adult supervision. Please follow posted pool rules for safety!
Pet-Friendly Campground: No aggressive pets or excessive barking pets allowed. Pets must be leashed 100% of the time (6’ or less), cleaned up after 100% of the time, attended to 100% of the time, and barking is to be minimized. Our furry friends are not allowed in any buildings, the pavilion, nor are they allowed at or in cabins.
Per PA State Law and for safety: Helmets are required for all children under 12. Bike riding is restricted to daylight hours ONLY for all ages. When pole lights come on (at dusk), the bikes should be put away. Thank you!
PA Dept. of Agriculture prohibits the transportation of firewood across state lines, and recommends that it not be transported from county to county. Firewood may be purchased at the store/office. You may burn pre-cut, spit Crawford County firewood only. Gathering wood from our wood lots is prohibited.
All campsite rates include newly upgraded Wi-Fi for light surfing, emails, and social media. Our Wi-Fi is not compatible with Netflix, HBO Go, or similar programs. We now offer complimentary cable TV on all full hookup campsites (including Seasonal sites!)! We're sorry, but Verizon phone service is very limited here, but texting works. AT & T works well here. Other minor brands are unknown.
Quiet Hours are 11:00 pm to 8:00 am. Please call us at 814-789-3251 for rude or noisy neighbors. We will respond and enforce our quiet hour policy. Day visitors must depart by 11:00. We do not allow check-ins after 11:00 pm.
Due to our rural location and the animals in the wooded areas near our park, we ask that you please deposit your refuse in the dumpster across from the propane station at the front of the park to the left of the gate, daily or as you depart. We thank you for disposing of your trash daily, so as to not entice our neighboring critters into the park looking to score a free and easy meal. Thank you!
Primitive tent sites, and tenters using Water & Electric Sites are allowed one (1) tent per campsite, and are restricted to one family per site. (Family = 2 adults & 2-6 kids.) An additional family requires an additional campsite. Thank you!
All cabin rentals are a 2 night minimum, except holidays which are a 3 night minimum. One night's deposit is required for non-holiday or special event weekend and weekday rentals. Holiday rentals require payment in full at the time of the reservation. Please refer to the cancellation policy, or reservation/cancellation policy details. Cabin reservations may not start or stop on Saturdays. Sorry, but all of our cabins are smoking and pet free, at this time. Cabin overnight occupancy is limited to the number of people they sleep. Daytime cabin sites occupancy, including visitors, may not exceed 8 per cabin site. All visitors must register at the office/store and pay the prevailing visitor's rate.
All campsites and cabin sites maximum occupancy (including visitors) is 8 people per campsite or cabin site. Any visitor's arriving after max. occupancy has been reached, will be turned away, unless proceeding visitor's have returned their window tag to the office upon departure.
We Welcome You to Meadville KOA, Northwestern PA's Family Fun Camping Zone!Tim & Robyn Chilson purchased Brookdale Family Campground in October of 1999. Tim was an Accountant & Office Manager for a public gas utility and Robyn was an Engineering Technician for a chemical company in the electronics industry. They are members of ARVC, NCA, and PCOA. Tim Served as Regional Vice-President on the PCOA Board of Directors. Both have attended the Graduate Program of ARVC's School of Campground Management. Tim & Robyn Chilson have both earned their initial CPO Certification. In 2011, Brookdale Family Campground was invited to join Kampgrounds of America.
