Leavenworth 20th Annual Quilt Show- September 9th-13th
Once again featuring hundreds of quilts displayed
in the various shops. Visitors will meander throughout
the show, enjoying the antique quilts,
wearable quilted art, wall quilts, table runners and
new quilts, all on display for your enjoyment.
Wenatchee River Salmon Festival- September 17th-19th
Connect your family to nature in a fun and entertaining way. Soak up the beauty under a canopy of beautiful fall colors and evergreens. Enjoy learning about our natural resources and the incredible environment in which we live.The Salmon Festival is fun for all ages, and admission and activities are FREE.Come and take part in the many inter-generational hands-on activities, interactive exhibits, wildlife edu-tainment, music, art, and experience a meaningful cultural exchange with Native Americans in their tribal village.
Washington State Autumn Leaf Festival- September 25th-27th
Parade, marching bands, floats, entertainers, food booths!
Oktoberfest - October 2-3, 9-10, 16-17
Free transportation in Leavenworth, live music, German food, arts and crafts, and activities for the whole family (oh yeah and did we say beer?).Oktoberfest in Leavenworth is the next best thing to being in Munich! This year we have four venues with live entertainment and Free Shuttles in Leavenworth Shuttle's are available outside Leavenworth for a fee, with affordable routes all the way to Wenatchee!What ever you do, dont miss our Keg Tapping Ceremony at 1:00 pm every Saturday when Leavenworth's Mayor will honor a Bavarian Tradition of tapping the keg. Then plan on hanging around and checking out music from our own Musikkapelle Leavenworth who will be joined by other musical groups from the US and Germany.
Christmas Tree Lighting - 1st, 2nd & 3rd weekends in December
Bavarian Village decked out in full holiday decor and filled with anticipation. The aromas of service club food booths and roasted chestnuts fill the frosty air. Entertainment from the bandstand, sledding in the park and sleigh rides. At dusk, everyone gathers together to sing "Silent Night" in the true meaning of the holiday spirit and to witness the lights as they transform Leavenworth into a magical winter wonderland!
