20 miles away is the historic gold mining town born in 1906 as a tent camp for miners. Today the town offers visitors quaint shops, restaurants, and a couple of watering holes. The town landmark are the burros that roam the streets. The Oatman gun fighters stage a free "Old West" showdowns and shoot outs on the town's main streets daily.
