Our experience was very good! Plenty of water and we were on a lower site with a beautiful view. Breakfast was awesome - as well as conversation with fellow campers. We would stay here again!

The campground is well cared for, the employees were great, the site was level. There is not much to see or do in the immediate area but about an hour away from Santa Fe and a little further to Taos. The Las Vegas town square is where Longmire shoots the downtown Durant scenes, that is interesting to see. One issue is the water pressure in camp. It may have been a temporary issue.

Everything was great; especially the breakfast. The only issue I had was that our pull thru spot did not have much of any gravel covering it and we had to step in and out of mud every time we entered or exited the RV.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Sorry about the mud. We had seven days of rain and a full campground which didn't allow us much time to put down the adhesive base-course. It will be fixed within days. Overall the Park drained pretty quickly.

It’s hard to give this KOA a bad rating, but for the cost, $20 higher than usual due to the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta, we should have had some water pressure. The staff was amazing, the site was large and spacious, but we literally had no water pressure. When I make a reservation, I seek out full hookups. I don’t consider trickling water an amenity. If I had been told, I wouldn’t have reserved.

Sorry for your water pressure problem. One of your options could have been to just use your own water pump. We're on a slope and a few of the higher-up sites can have lower pressure when we're full.

The site was not the best but the breakfast was great we enjoyed the breakfast the best thing of the whole stay.

Being greeted with a “hello” or “welcome” at check in would be preferable to a blunt “Do you have a reservation?” Not overly friendly this last stay. Last fall a gentleman was super nice though!

Water pressure at our trailer was not sufficient for us to take a shower. There was no cable tv as we have found at other KOA's. The site was level and the facilities were good.

One night, wanted more nights, but had to leave. Available full breakfast was nice. Quite, off Interstate in trees. Gas station basically at entrance. A few short miles to Las Vegas, NM.

Nice people and facility seems fine. Water pressure is almost nonexistent. Could not get water out of the shower head without turning the pump on and their pressure would not completely fill the RV water tank.

They have no usable water in a rv too much pressure drop, it’s gravity fed so there no volume and the closer to the top of the hill the worser it gets. It’s what every camper bitched about.

Friendly, helpful staff. Clean facilities. Offered nice breakfast buffet with tasty New Mexico flavors. Site 2 (pull thru) was level and easy to access and depart. We’ll stay here again when in the area

Had a great stay on our way from Lubbock TX to Colorado Springs. Beautiful view from our campsite, super nice staff, had a great breakfast that the park does for a nominal fee. Will stop here again if traveling this way.

Staff was great, campground was great, quiet location, nice stop….however, the water pressure is absolutely unacceptable! I pulled in from long trip and couldn’t even take a shower water pressure was so bad. Wasn’t able to do anything with water. Really need to upgrade/change the current water system. I won’t be back. I was in site #43.

No cable TV and the Internet was very weak. Otherwise it was OK.

I am sorry you thought we had cable. We do not advertise cable, nor do we tell people that we have cable. Verizon carriers seem to have a problem logging into our wifi.

They were very accommodating when we wanted to change spaces because we couldn’t get satellite reception. There is a dining area where an all you can eat pancake breakfast is served if you want to purchase for $8. All hookups worked and were located conveniently. We didn’t use the pool or bathrooms. The grounds could use sprucing up, and it appeared they were in the process. NO freeway noise

Breakfast is eggs mixed with a Mexican cheese, hash browns with bacon bits and green chile, pancakes cooked fresh in front of you, sausage, and chopped fresh fruit.

People that work there are really, nice. We loved the breakfast, sorry we forgot their names, but the couple that took care of us is amazing. The small things, like having nice fresh fruits, not just melons, using colorful paper plates, not just white. We love this, we felt very welcomed, oh and the lady that checked us in was great too. Nice rv spaces, we will stay there again, if we are close.

Self checkin with well executed site directions on map. Park had a good "camp" feel with lots of trees and various levels. Did not use amenities.

This is a great place to stay! The owner was super helpful when a neighbor complained about the electric - turned out the service was fine & his "not-name-brand" surge connector was wrong! Close enough to interstate to be convenient, but far enough away there was not traffic noise. Lots of trees, a decent dog run as well as a good breakfast for $8.00. A hidden gem worth checking out.
