Despite bad weather, we had a memorable stay at this KOA campground thanks to excellent service from manager Josh. The campground has lots of amenities, including an outdoor gas fireplace, big fire pit, gazebo with mosquito net, activities for children/adults, and a clean laundry facility. The services provided by the camp crew were amazing.

Everything was wonderful! Facilities were clean and well-stocked. Camping sites were spacious and beautiful. Hot showers... We will be back!

It was my first time at a KOA and I was very impressed! Loved the text communications about activities and check in/out. Staff was friendly, facilities were excellent, and our tent site was beautiful. Looking forward to the next KOA stay!

Sadly after 17 years of camping at the old Whiteface Mtn KOA the new campground is an extreme disappointment and does not compare even in the slightest to the old location. I am very very disappointed. The sites are rocky and uneven, no space to park a truck and the bathrooms are TERRIBLE! The worst campground showers I have ever experienced. Clearly the showers were not renovated prior to opening

Convenient to plenty of hiking spots. All KOA staff were friendly and buildings were well maintained. Disappointed in the litter seen on sites upon arrival. Spent some time picking up small pieces of plastic trash and broken glass! If you look off your site chances are you find more trash (glass bottles and plastic zip lock bags).

In its current state this Koa is less functional. My tent was really far from the closest bathroom. Tent sites are weird with very slopy driveways. The amenities are not on par with other koa campgrounds. Hopefully this location will eventually build up to be as good as the previous one was.

The facility was clean, tent sites were very nice and some were nice and secluded in the back. Gift shop was lovely. Staff very kind and helpful. Trails in the back and plenty to check out in the area!! Great little base camp for all kinds of adventures.

Campsite was great.Good privacy, quiet hours followed, showers worked,clean restrooms. All the good things come to an end when it comes to the wifi.I called them to specifically ask about wifi and I was assured they have strong wifi even at the campsite.Thats a LIE! It only works near the office, zero signal at the campsites.T-mobile has spotty LTE. Please dont stay here if you need wifi.

My whole campsite was sloping. The flattest area on the whole site (which was not flat at all) - had a giant pointy rock protruding from the ground. Despite trying different spots around the site, we were unable to find a flat spot for our 6 month old baby to sleep. As a result, he was rolling all night which is poses a potential suffocation hazard. My wife and I did not sleep at all.

First time camper. KOA lake placid made it easy to figure it all out!

The stay was good overall. The only negative was a very, very noisy large group of campers playing music and carelessly partying well into the early morning hours. There were no patrols from KOA staff to monitor noise, and there was no apparent way to alert KOA staff via SMS, etc. It would be highly recommended to have KOA staff do evening patrols for noise, especially with groups on weekends.

expensive for what we got. my campsite was too close to the road and was on a slope. not my best camping nights! but the washrooms were clean and services good

Very clean bathrooms and nice facilities. We always saw someone cleaning the bathrooms, which is great. We are typically not tent campers, so will probably rent a cabin next time. THose looked nice from the outside, but didn't get a chance to see inside. The location is perfect if you're hiking some high peaks. We took the trail straight from the campground to hike Whiteface/ Esther.

We miss the old KOA in Wilmington. This one had push button showers (not fun) and no pool which was a step down from the old KOA. It was quiet and restrooms were clean which we appreciated.

The campsite and the staff were extremely professional friendly and polite. Campsites were beautifully maintained. There are two things you may want to consider changing. 1. On the brochure it listed beach access, it wasn't explained that the beach access was not on property it's actually across the street it could be a little far if you don't have a car. 2. Staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. Only criticism was the firewood was damp and some of the wood was rotting.

There was a lot of garbage at my site when I arrived, took me about 20 minutes to clean everything up prior to being able to set up my tent. Other than that it was an okay stay!

We had a wonderful family time but were unhappy with the #25 site and the long walk to the bathroom. When we camped at the old KOA there were more available away from the main camp. The other campsite was perfect for our family. Missed a pool but the weather wasn't helping. We realize you are new and building so we may come back to check the KOA out. You were very helpful with messages. Thank you.

Our family had an amazing time camping. The kids had so much fun, clean washrooms, friendly and very helpful staff. Park was really well maintained and in a great location. We can’t wait to come back!

The tent sites are roomy, there is a lot of trees and shade. There was only 3 bathrooms near our campsite and each had a toilet and shower in the same stall. This is not ideal, if someone uses the shower, the toilets are unavailable for a while. They are cleaned multiple times a day. There is a beach just across the road. Overall a great camping.

Up front there were men's and women's bathrooms, and they were very clean which I appreciate. There were also women's showers in a separate room. (Not men's.) In the middle of the campground (where most people were) there were 3 bathrooms with a shower in each. One was closed. Men could only shower in the other 2 room/stalls, leaving those bathrooms always full. 30+ min waits for a bathroom!!!

We are so sorry for the confusion. There is an additional shower room for men around the corner from the women's shower room. We will be sure to order some more signage for this area. Thank you for staying with us!

The KOA is in a great location. Clean and with spacious sites, friendly staff. We had quite a bit of privacy. The only issue was the amount of bathrooms. If you are towards the rear of the campground there were only 2 toilets and each had showers in them. There was a lot of waiting and frustration from the campers. Please solve this problem. A dedicated toilet would be very useful.

Had a great stay, place was clean, the staff was wonderful. Only issue was that site 30 had a horrible sewer smell that would come and go, and several times we noted the fire pit would fill up with water, drain, and fill up again. This was not during rain storms. I know it sounds strange, but that's what happened. I suspect it is sewage. Check that fire ring everyday and see/smell for yourself.

We loved our stay at the Lake Placid/Whiteface KOA! Our site was very clean and relatively private with lots of trees around. The common area with fire pits, corn hole and Adirondack chairs was so nice as well. We will definitely be back for another stay ���
