The showers only stay on a max of 5 seconds and the water does not get hot. The location is great for exploring the region. The campsites are large and spaced out well.

This campground is beautiful. The sites are large, with woods between sites providing privacy. Bathrooms were up-to-date, clean and well-functioning, with private showers. Newly improved Wi-Fi was excellent. Staff was great. We had stayed at the previous KOA site for years, so we were a little skeptical, but this was great!! We'll be back.

I was very doubtful about staying at the new KOA. We had stayed at the other KOA in Lake Placid for years. I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed the new KOA in Wilmington. The RV lots were large. You were not right up against your neighbor. There were many walking trails, and of course the workers at the KOA were friendly and helpful. This will become one of my favorite places.

We rented a DELUXE? cabin prev w/E. We were told this was SIMILAR last yr rental. Was described to accommodate up to 8 . IT COULD NOT HOLD MORE THAN 4.VERY CONFINING. more like a Trailer camper NOT A CABIN. We were VERLY Disappointed NO porch, no place to park. No place to walk w/.o being in the road. No counter space, AT ALL Dishes larger than sink two burners. could not fit two sm pans

We loved it!! Friendly, helpful staff. Clean and spacious campsites. Firewood was a little pricey, but the convenience of having it deliver to our site with the click of a button made it worth every penny!!

The activities were nice although it seems unnecessary to charge fees for everything. $2 for a scoop of ice cream felt a bit unfair, especially when staff acknowledged that the campground is currently lacking in amenities. Playground is bad, campground needs a pool and basketball court at least. On the plus side, sites were spacious, fire pit area is nice, service is good.

We were disappointed to find out the original Lake Placid/Holiday KOA had closed but gave this KOA a chance. It seemed "older"and more crowded, and a lot less amenities, than the other KOA but it was clean and relaxing. We were once again charged a $20 site request fee, even though we never requested a specific site, but the staff in the office refunded it for us. The staff were very pleasant.

As always, our stay was exceptional! The campground is so well maintained, clean & everyone who works there goes above & beyond to their customers. We especially enjoyed the pancake breakfast. We have 3 more trips planned at this, our favorite KOA during the next few months.

We enjoyed our stay over Memorial Day weekend. We stayed in one of the cabins and were pleased with everything-- the space (both indoor and outdoor) and the proximity to everything. The location of the campsite was ideal for all of the outdoor recreation we were doing (hiking, kayaking). Everything about the check-in/check-out process was seamless and we had a great time.

We're new to KOA and only used the KOA Resort in Wilmington which is now closed, so koa Holiday experience was not what we were expecting. However, cabin was clean, we felt safe, great location, site was nice, quiet. Negatives- no channels on tv so byo DVD/streaming device, not enough bathrooms, floors were always wet, playground next to dumpsters. We'll go again but with different expectations.

It felt like a bait and switch. The sign for the old koa is still there but the sign is on another old campground. There’s no WiFi or any tv reception of any kind. Along with no cable. The shower room was very old. And the washers and dryers are old and worn out. I expect a level of standard at a koa, this place didn’t even scratch the surface. On the positive, the site was nice.

The cabin and amenities were clean and well stocked with everything we needed. It would have been nice if we were told or given a list of things we had to clean before we left and what services were included with the stay. The bottom of one door was broken and the toilet didn't always work. The people were friendly though and you are not disturbed by other people.

We had camped at the old location but we're very excited to for the new one until we got to our site. We were site 1 and it was horrible as it's feet from the road. All the time we could hear cars which takes away the point of camping. Along with that there's a light from across the street that shines into the site 24/7. We were told a night would be refunded to our card but have yet to receive it

The staff were super helpful and friendly. We miss the former KOA location as we camped there for 20yrs. With the price increases for camping cabins, you need to consider replacing the mattresses with comfortable ones. The fridge was an extra bonus, Thanks! We’ll get used to the new location and be back again soon.

Nice place but not as spectacular as the other lake placid koa. While i like the campground I struggled with the cost ratio. Also being advised where to out recycling at end and-or on the map would have saved a hassle at check out.

Hi KOA Corporate - we miss the old site, the new pales in comparison and we question returning. For more than half our stay the internet was down. We had a deluxe cabin and were squished in with a large RV directly in front of us, nothing like the Lake Placid/Whiteface KOA we loved and came to expect. Staff were friendly and polite but the problems were beyond their pay or decision grade.

Fantastic customer service as always and our cabin was just what we expect. It is unfortunate that the location has changed as the prior location provided much nicer surroundings. I usually tent camp and really didn't see any good sites when we drove around so likely wouldn't book at this location in the future if I am tenting. Hopefully it will once again be used as a KOA Kampground.

Great location friendly staff we couldn’t get into our camping cabin cc53 wrong keys they came right out and fixed it . No Wi-Fi and no tv remote but we understand it’s all been moved from other site . We weren’t at the cabin much so the tv remote didn’t bother us much. Hope to be back again soon . Maybe we can get a discount or something next time we are regular campers to the Wilmington

No hot water, no cable. Asked to fix hot water and barely was warm in the kitchen, still ice cold in the shower. Not worth the amount I paid! Will stay somewhere else next time

Nice location. Friendly people. I couldn't get the Wifi to work. Our phones saw the network but wouldn't connect for any of us. I also couldn't get the cable to work (which may have been me). It wouldn't have been an issue but it rained the night we stayed, so we were stuck inside. Overall a nice camp ground.

Attention to detail would help the traveler. What is the name of this KOA? We followed the directions to one location that was wrong and moved to another (desk said that happens) When we arrived there was no indication where to park and register (sign was placed in wrong direction). Getting to our site was difficult and when we found someone to help they said the site numbers had changed.

The staff are very friendly and attentive to your needs. They are accommodating and you can tell they care about ensuring your stay is memorable. Recently my family and I visited and was greeted by Suzanne who was absolutely wonderful. She was lovely and made us laugh. We looked forward to seeing her when we visited the store.
