Whiskey Flat Days -- February 14-17, 2014
As always on Presidents Day Weekend. This years theme is "Boots, Belles & Bulls". Take a step back in time and celebrate life in the 1850's. This old-fashioned, western style festival includes a parade, gunfighters, carnival, music, vendors, and a Whiskey Flat Encampment. 25th Annual Isabella Lake Fishing Derby April 12-14, 2014
What is being called the world's largest amateur trout derby, the Isabella Lake Fishing Derby is now in its 25th year. Held at one of largest fresh water lakes in southern California, located less than three hours north of the Los Angeles area. With over $250,000 in prizes up for grabs, the 2014 event is looking to be the best yet.

Kern River Festival April 19&20
For whitewater slalom races, extreme brush creek races, SUP boarder cross, to Hooligan* build your own boat race this event has something for every river runner. Vendor booths will also be set up so come see the latest boating, paddling and outdoor gear they have to show off.

Annual Kern River Valley Spring Nature Festival
The Kern Valley Spring Nature Festival is a celebration of the miracle of nature at its best. Wildlife and wildflowers, and spectacular vistas of unique geological wonders make this a vacation paradise. Located at the southern edge of the Sierra Nevada, the Kern Valley is a unique place. Six major California ecological regions merge in the region around the valley: Great Basin Desert, Mojave Desert, Chaparral, Sierran Forest, and Great Valley Grassland; including the largest remaining contiguous riparian forest in the state.
