We needed a quick and quiet overnight stay after fleeing a horde of mosquitoes at Sea Rim Texas State Park. We were so fortunate to be able to book a beautiful spot on the pond, within easy walking distance of the sparkling clean bathhouse. We had a delightful evening, comfortably ensconced in our chairs, watching the stars come out. Lovely campground.

Amazing KOA. We stay at KOA Campgrounds often and this one is by far the best! Clean, friendly and just all out a great experience.

Nice, level, large sites. Plenty of restrooms/ laundry. Beautiful, long pool for swimming. Friendly and helpful workers.

We always enjoy our stay. The park is clean and well kept. The laundry rooms are better than most other campgrounds. Our trick broke down when we arrived and we had to extend our stay while it was repaired. We really appreciated how helpful the ladies at the desk were to get us booked in for this.

Stayed at the Lake Conroe KOA for about 5 months in my fifth wheel while working in Houston. The park was in overall great shape and the staff was excellent! As the weather warmed, they got working on little repairs around the park such as repainting site numbers and repairing minor water leaks. I wish they had a better “store” comparable to other KOA’s of this size.

We were there for a family reunion, and it was great. My cabin, #21, had a few problems. There was no stopper in the tub so no baths. The water did not remain hot for very long. The blinds in the windows facing the lake are in need of replacement. I would gladly return to your campground, but I will be asking for a different cabin. Thanks!

Camping area was very clean, kids had an amazing time on their train ride. The reason for the two star review was it advertises a playground which was a swing set and a rocking turtle. Also, advertised a jump pillow which wasn’t able to jump on due to a massive hole. Unfortunately I don’t see us coming back to this KOA.

We enjoyed our three nights stay at Lake Conroe, Houston North KOA. However, we were in the first line of campsites and you could hear the highway traffic most of the time. Campsites were spacious and enjoyed the little farmers market that was held on Saturday morning. For being our first time up in the area, we would definitely stay again.

Cabin was very clean! We really enjoyed fishing in the pond. The pool and hot tub are nice and the giant games on the side. More towels would be appreciated inside the cabin. The sign that says they do not give more towels there is enough for 4 people but we needed more! We didn’t see towels at the pool so ran out fast! The giant inflatable has holes, you hit the bottom! We enjoyed how active the property was on Saturday. Between the Farmers Market, Bingo, train rides and bounce pad, the kids were able to have fun all day. We will definitely be back!

There were two main detractors this trip, neither of which the park has control of. Lot's of sirens up and down 105 and incessant beeping from construction next door. As the area continues to grow and develop the park may wish to consider gated entry. It's pretty wide open now. Overall, very nice park. Will stay again.

We had a great time at Lake Conroe KOA! Site was easy to get in and out of, and nicely maintained. The laundry room was very clean and super convenient to use with the app. A laundry cart would be nice for transporting clean laundry across the room to the dryer. The ladies at the front desk were very friendly and accommodating. Even had an ice cream truck come through on Sunday afternoon!

Stayed at the Lake Conroe KOA for about 5 months in my fifth wheel RV while working in Houston. Great location with plenty of restaurants/shopping just a short walk or drive away. Very spacious sites through the park compared to other KOA's. All sites are paved and mostly level, definitely big rig friendly. Staff was great! Very responsive to inquiries and requests for maintenance (had an electrical pedestal issue early during my stay that was quickly resolved). As the weather started warming up, the maintenance team got busy with lots of little things around the park… repainting site numbers, fixing water leaks, etc… Only downside is that they don't really have a “Store” like other large KOA's. They have a few items but with the large office they have, there could be so much more. I'd definitely stay there again if I was in the area.

I recently stayed at this campground and overall had a pleasant experience. The place is very well-maintained with great amenities, and the sites are spacious and well spread out. The customer service and employees were excellent, providing a welcoming atmosphere. However, the only downfall for us was the presence of unsupervised children. While there are multiple families living there full-time, their children roam freely around the campground. Our lakefront site seemed to be a popular hangout spot for them, leading to some inconvenience as they left their bikes, scooters, and toys near our RV. I even had to politely ask a child to refrain from climbing the ladder on my RV. If you're considering booking a lakefront site, I recommend requesting one on the south side of the park to avoid the children's high traffic area, particularly site 192, which seems to be a pathway for them to the lake. 25 feet to the right of this site there are no rv spots or cabins and community lake access. Unfortunately the children prefer cutting through occupied sites and hanging out in the driveways of the sites. Overall, it's a lovely campground with some minor considerations regarding children's supervision.
