I I think they put us in the worst space in the campground. It shows in your booklet that the spaces have green grass not #40 it has rocks all around the perimeter where you have step over in order to make all your hookups which is dangerous where you could easily trip over and really hurt yourself especially an elderly person like me. We checked in after hours which was almost dark.

Level site, good utilities, clean and working showers and baths! We arrived early evening and the office was still open and got us registered quickly with friendly service.

Awesome place to stay! I prefer this over a hotel when I'm here working in the area. The Host and Staff are super friendly and accommodating.

This is our second stay at this KOA. Each time has been wonderful. The staff are caring, generous, and helpful. The KOA has unique features with the inclusion of restored railway cars turned into comfy, fashionable accommodations. There are a few tiny houses. We stayed in a modular cabin that was well equipped with dishes, cookware, and utensils. The property is clean and very well maintained.

Traffic noise was at times overwhelming, I guess everyone goes to the Super Wal Mart all day and all night, every day, why they have to gun their engines driving that small stretch of road, heaven knows! And weekend personnel like to leave early, and come in late.

This KOA has an awesome staff. Everyone was helpful. I was also able to rent a car on site.

I always enjoy staying there, but it is sure noisy with proximity to town, although the ownership can’t help with that. My only comes that I wish they would put locks on the bathrooms, am always a little concerned that people other than paying guests may be in there.

Pleasant park though there is some construction occurring that causes excessive dust from road and frequent heavy vehicle traffic. RV sites are spacious but decorative boulders make entering and exiting tight.

This KOA deserves a 10! Staff is very friendly & helpful, especially Amanda. The clean recreation room had long tables with tablecloths & chairs plus a fridge, range, sinks to use. There was a pool table, arcade machines, & A/C. The restrooms are spotless with sinks, 3 showers & high-rise toilets. A Cornhole game is in the playground. The caboose for 5, has a bathroom, mini fridge, coffeepot.

The park is very nice with friendly staff. I like all the train cars they have onsite. I would stay here again.

The employees here really take care of me. I stay here a lot for work because I travel, and they always have a spot for me. One time I had a flat tire on my truck and they even plugged my tire for me!

We had the pleasure to stay in the caboose, and both kids and parent were extremely happy with it! The kids also enjoyed the playground, and while the mini golf course is in need of some updating, both boys still loved it and we played multiple rounds. We can't wait to be back to check out the glass dome train car once it's finished!

Nice enough, but the proximity to the railroad and busy loud traffic is a drawback. Sites were spacious and they did a great job of spacing out the campers since it wasn’t busy. Lots to see like Bents Fort in the area. Had noisy neighbors with loud trucks, but not the campgrounds fault. Laundry need updating. Good Sandy dog run my pup liked.

Even though we got in late and only got to stay one night, we had a blast staying in the Santa Fe caboose at the La Junta KOA. It was a perfect way to cap off our vacation. We'll be back!

Easy pull thru, generous hook-ups, VERY quiet considering proximity to highway, SUPER clean facilities, pet area and playground were appreciated repeatedly, and friendly staff, would enjoy coming back to see the rec center open, and of course the pool (seasonal). Thank you for letting us enjoy your campground!

This place was nice! Bathroom was clean, the area was clean. You can hear highway traffic and the occasional train as it’s right off the highway, but it’s really not that loud!

Hosts were fantastic. They shared much about the train lodges being built and even gave us a tour. The KOA was clean and well maintained. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The checkin people were very nice. It went smoothly and they gave us a couple of bottles of water and a dog biscuit for our Labrador retriever. The dog park was small, and the roads were muddy. The bathrooms were OK. There is an excellent BBQ restaurant right in front of the KOA. We would stay here again.

We stayed one night at the KOA and rented the caboose for the night. It was a really fun experience. They have done a great job decorating the caboose. The bed was comfortable and the space worked out great for the 4 of us. We checked in right after they closed for the evening and it was so easy. We picked up our check in packet and got right into the caboose with no issues. The staff was friendly and they have a small store with a few essentials in case you need to purchase anything. There's a nice playground for the kids. We would definitely stay here again and recommend our friends to check it out.
