We were staying at cabin 16 and that was fine. The family bathrooms were quite dirty. The toilet had water leaking at the base on the floor. The fan was working poorly and it felt like a sauna. It was poorly lit . I would definitely say a remodel would be your first priority. The recommendation for dinner at Tacks was a 10.

The KOA was very out dated . Needed upkeep looks like they haven't done anything in years. Thought KOA had standards to meet to be a KOA

Pros: Cabin and bathrooms were very clean! Pool looksed nice and clean but it was raining while we were there so we didn't get a chance to go in it. Cons: Amemeties for a KOA are disappointing. Lack of garbage cans (in cabin and around bathrooms/campground) thankfully we brought our own garbage bag.

The electric box was at ground level which isn’t to code. I was skeptical about it. Water connection was flimsy and not secured well. People are friendly but not overbearing. It was nice to camp without people patrolling all the time.

We were in the Danial Boone Cabin on Saturday night, June 12, our 24th anniversary. It was just the right place for us. We liked the fire pit and made a nice little camp fire. I like that at night, it was totally dark, not a lot of lights all over the place. There were many occupied sites around ours, and all of the surrounding campers were silent and polite.

Camp was clean and well maintained. Camp was very quiet. The staff was very nice. We had a great time. We will definitely go back!

Had a blast! Not many other people in the pop ups / tent area. Everyone was polite and our kids had a great time. The surrounding area is beautiful. Location was right in the middle of everything we wanted to do that weekend (Kinzua bridge & Rim Rock hiking). The kids want to go back all ready.

Not a very good place. Looks like they haven’t done anything around there in years. Only stayed one night when supposed to stay two.

The site was perfect for my needs of a Motorcycle pulling a small tent trailer. The person that checked me in was able to recommend a local restaurant that served excellent food.

Unless you are very experienced in driving your camper do not even attempt to stay in any of the sites past the check in station. Also our safeguards had to keep shutting down our campsites do to the low voltage 104-109 max to prevent of camper from being damaged. This site absolutely does not meet KOA standards and I hope they review it soon

Good neighbors, no problems, peaceful, close to hiking fishing, boating, biking. I read the negative reviews before going none of them were true sure it needs a little updating but it’s camping in the-remote 517,000 acre Allegheny National Forest.

Could afford to put an ac unit in a window of the campers cabin considering it’s $82 a night. Fire right with a grate would be a pretty easy and efficient investment. Maybe a little gravel for parking would be nice. Labeling with arrows to show where campsites are. Sell bundles of wood at reasonable rate and not wagons for $18. Little inexpensive things could go a long way.

The KOA itself was very nice and well kept. However, our cabin on a night where it was 30 degrees out didn't have a working heater or fire pit. Thankfully we knew the people next door so we joined them at their fire pit. I understand this has been a hard year, but it was obvious this cabin was not rented out often or checked on. The picnic table was also growing moss. I have pictures of all too.

Second time staying at this campground. Stuff was very friendly. Campground has sights in woods or in open grass. Close to many scenic trails in the Allegheny National Forest. Or checking out the many historic museums and places to see

The camp roads had minimal gravel on them which created a driving hazard and nightmare for all. The roads were muddy swamps full of ruts. You sank and slid as you drove on them. The only use for the camp map was for kindling. Wrong information given. Minimal signage provide no guidance or direction. Tight turns accompanied with large boulders further added the hazard of getting stuck and damaging.

Amenities that were supposed to be available were not, park was run down and needs a lot of updating. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend to anyone.

The campground is small. Grounds not really kept up. We stayed the week before Memorial weekend. The bathrooms were ok but garbage was overflowing. The small restroom across from out site had a broken water line so we could only use the one by the office. Siteseeing and hiking was amazing around the area. Overall good stay considering time we went.

This was our first camping trip ever and the stay with nice. We didn't have anyone else on either side of us so it was roomy. I am not sure if there is enough room if there were Campers on either side.

We stayed in the wooded area in a rustic cabin. If your campground is open, so should all your bathrooms, especially the ones where everyone is camping, (wood area) and where the rustic cabins are so you don't have to walk up to the front to use the bathroom, especially in the dark. That is not right. If you're open, you're open. Not too hard to turn on electric, propane and add toilet paper.

It was not the quality KOA standard that we have come to expect. The sites were rustic, not well maintained and ground was very soft. When trying to level our class A, we hit a sink hole. Bathrooms were not clean and toilet was backed up. Staff not real friendly.

Nice Campground. Sites were large and had a good fire pit. One suggestion would be to list the playground on the map. Didn't realize it was there until our last night.

We had a wonderful time. Everything was so quiet and we had perfect weather. We were close to trees and couldn’t put our slide out but that didn’t ruin anything. Staff was more then accommodating and was very nice while we stayed. Lots to do and see in the area. Will definitely be back again.

Bring confirmation, didn't seem to have my KOA reservation. Receipt, torn piece of notebook paper. C-Store closed. B-rooms/showers-no water,still winterized. Campsite & Fire ring FULL of ashes & leaves. Site #88 (they assigned) is view of old & ugly mobile home @ next site. Reserved 5 nights, left after 2 when notified ALL water to be shut OFF in campground. Paid $267.50. Have photos. NEVER AGAIN!

Very helpful and friendly staff. Only concern I had was I would have like for the cabin I rented to have been in a more “woodsy” area. We were in an open field which was a bit disappointing. That being said, I would still recommend this KOA to others.

It was a great weekend. The only comment is that auxiliary bathrooms at the rear of the park were not as I would have expected. The stool in the right one was NOT mounted to the floor properly and door on the left one was difficult to open and close. Also there should be an "occupied" sign displayed.

Cabin was clean... bathrooms were not very .. they weren’t cleaned the whole weekend... overall I’d probably stay there again, just be more prepared to what I was walking into.

The 50 amp Site was big and nice, but difficult to get to because the 7 campsites, one of which they asigned us, required backing down the road into each site. We were the 3rd site in and had to back 50-75 yards to the site. Owners-not friendly in person or on phone. Campers next to us called 2 days before arrival, asked if there was a similar site for friends, were told no. Many sites available

The location was not convenient. Half hour drive to what we wanted to do. Host was not friendly at all and tho the campground was practically empty placed us right next to another occupied cabin when there were others nearby that were unoccupied. He could have at least left an empty one between us. Cabin seemed clean.

This will be my second year fall camping at this KOA. Great place to get away for a weekend especially when I leaves are changing! Staff was extremely friendly and very pleasant this year and last (I only stayed one weekend and it felt like they knew me this year). Some of the sites can be challenging to a new driver, but staff is always more than happy to help get you setup. I would highly recommend as it's family friendly and all around a good time.

Update: I originally gave this place a 4 out 5 4 years ago because of it not being updated... this was the beginning of our travel trailer experiences. After visiting over 20 campgrounds since my original review I am upgrading it 5 stars. The people that own this place are an example of the original campground experience. Quiet. Wooded. Peaceful. Hard working. The real "salt of the earth" people. These place is a piece of heaven. Do not give notice to the bad reviews. Those reviews are from people looking for the galmping experience. This is not that. This is camping. Go enjoy it. Thank you for having us. We will return. God bless. Original review: The only reason I'm giving it 4 and not 5 is because it has not been updated in a long time. Other than that, everything is in good order. Clean campground. Exactly what a camping trip should feel like. Middle of the woods. Gorgeous. So isolated that you feel a little nervous in the pitch dark woods. Great experience
