Local Area Attractions
All area attractions are either in Kerrville or with-in a hours dirve from our campground. We are the perfect central location to visit these attractions.
Criders Rodeo & Dance
This is the longest running rodeo in the state of Texas. It was started by Mr. & Mrs. Crider back in the 1920's. It opens on in Mid-May and runs every Saturday night through Mid-September. There is a live country/rock band and dance after the rodeo and plenty of food to eat.
National Museum of the Pacific War
Located in Fredericksburg, a 40 minute drive from the campground following Day Tour Drive #3. Allow a minimum of 2 hours.
Museum of Western Art
Located in Kerrville. The Cowboys, Native Americans, Settlers, Mountain Men and others who tamed the West...share their adventure through the rotating exhibits on display at the Museum of Western Art where the legend of the American West lives on.
Site of the Historic Mission and battle, starting the fight for the Republic of Texas. "Remember the Alamo". The Alamo is in downtown San Antonio across from the River Walk about one hour from the campground..
The San Antonio River Walk
Located in downtown San Antonio across from The Alamo. ,The San Antonio River winds past shops, cafes, hotels, fiesta music beneath large overhanging trees. Tour, taxi and dinner boats play the river.
Six Flags Fiesta Texas
Located about 50 minutes from Kerrville on the North side of San Antonio. Large Amusement Park with lots of rides for all ages.
Sea World San Antonio
Located on the west side of San Antonio about an hours drive from Kerrville.
Lost Maples State Natural Area
Nestled in the Hill Country, only 1.5 hours southwest of Kerrville, the park is a combination of rugged milestone canyons, plateau grasslands, wooded slopes and clear streams. The only maple forest in Texas is located in this area.
