The kampground is in a great Location and both hosts are very nice and helpful in every situation. We felt very familiar at this KOA. The restrooms are very good and clean, the WIFI excellent. Also the offered Pizza was delicious.

Very friendly hosts. Clean restrooms.

The hosts at the campground were wonderful. The campground itself was very clean and peaceful and there was lots of shade. Also it's location was close to all of the local attractions such as Mt. Rushmore, Jewel Cave, Wind Cave, Custer State Park, the Mammoth dig site and Big Thunder Diamond Mine. My wife and I loved it and stayed 3 nights as part of our cross country trip!

Restrooms and all facilities were very clean. Sites large. Kathy & John were very helpful. Great stay to see the wonderful area!

John and Cathy are amazing KOA hosts. I had the pleasure to chatting at length with John. He had valuable and spot-on information for all of my questions and concerns. Cathy was also a great source of information. Our stay was more fun thanks to their information and great personalities. It worked great as a place to stay and still see the various attractions in and around Mt. Rushmore.

Kyle owner was great. Place was clean and what I'd expect from KOA

The staff was very accommodating, personable, and informative of surrounding events and attractions. campsite was clean and well stocked. Our children loved the pool.

This was an average place. People were friendly, but it was very noisy and very little shade.

John & Cathy were very personable and very willing to please us. The restroom/showers were always clean & tidy. The pool was very refreshing after a day of sightseeing.

First thing when we got there and set up, we couldn't connect the water since the part was the wrong one. This is a new camper and our first time out with it. John had the right part and helped set it up. It was very pleasant and relaxing and we can't wait to come back. Thank you very much.

The most important thing about a campground is the bathroom. This was the cleanest bathroom out of all the koa kampgrounds i've stayed in. The people that ran it John and Cathy were very nice and they were there when we needed anything. We will go back.....

we had a great time everyone so nice close to everything we wanted to see

We were rookies to was amazing! We loved everything about it!

The facilities are what we expect from a KOA. What took us off guard was the attitude of the owner/staff - upon check in, we were rudely asked why we were late and when leaving, the owner of the grounds actually cut us off while we were pulling out of the lot. We stay at KOA's for the friendly people, and were disappointed at Hot Springs.

The campsites were a little small. We were unable to put our awning out if we had wanted and not a lot of room for the kids to run around and play. But we were there to visit other attractions so we were not at the campsite much so it served its purpose. Very clean bathrooms and pool area.

The staff was not very friendly. Didn't feel very welcome. The facility was OK, but probably would not come back because we didn't feel welcome. Staff seemed to answer questions in a guarded manor. We just quit going to the campground store.

Very clean great staff!! Enjoyed our stay. Beautiful area. Would come back again.

Very nice park. Spacious, quiet and well located in a beautiful area. Well maintained. Friendly, courteous staff. We generally try to stay exclusively at KOA's. This is one of the better parks we have camped in.
Aug 12, 2013
Great place to stay that was close enough to monuments but far enough away from all the tourist traffic.
Aug 12, 2013
This is not a campground for individuals that have a disability or have difficulty walking. The sites are graveled, the main complex/restrooms are elevated on a hill above the campsites, no sidewalks leading to and from sites to main complex and trash dispensers are nonexistent at each campsite. The guests are expected to walk up "the hill" to get rid of their trash. Very inconvenient.

We rented 2 cabins & the numbers were on the confirmation, when we checked in we did not get one of the cabinets we reserved but given a cabin in the very back of the camp ground. When confronted about this they did not make it right. This was our 2nd stay at this KOA..only because of the cabin will be our last. Over all everything was clean.
Aug 11, 2013
staff friendly and accommodating, location close enough to attractions but far enough to be quiet, idyllic setting in trees.
Aug 11, 2013
We found the camp sites VERY UNEVEN where we were.
Aug 10, 2013
Staff was all very friendly. Food they cooked was perfect. Very well kept up campground. Was very happy with our stay and will stay there again when we visit South Dakota.

Thank you for your feedback. You were here during a high peak time when a lot of bikers used the bathroom. In addition, due to the heavy rain, gravel at some sites unfortunately washed away & the floor of our outdoor eatery couldn't help but get muddy. Comments from guests on the food were all great

Extremely clean. Staff was extraordinarily helpful. Addition of pancake breakfast and pizzas was a plus
