Great place to stay with very friendly staff. If you tent stay be ready for semi engine breaks.... There is the start of a hill with a speed change right in front of the KOA.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by very friendly and welcoming staff. Each campsite had the perfect tree coverage to block the hot sun. By far the best KOA I’ve ever stayed at in South Dakota!

Very nice park with super nice sites and friendly staff. Breakfast on site is reasonably priced. We used this as a base camp to explore Black Hills and the Badlands. We had a patio site with a grill, and when we were buying a grill brush, the staff said wait - we will clean it. Spacious sites and good Kamp K-9. Easy in and out.

Convenient location, friendly staff, cabins were very close to eachother compared to other KOA's so didn't feel as private but was quiet, clean, and a good stay. I like that they have recycling available and also collect excess items to give to future guests instead of having items thrown in trash. Bathrooms were clean, but shower stalls/floors could be updated based on other KOA's. Nice shade.

The new owners are very nice and super responsive. They were very helpful with giving us a spot without a reservation. We really enjoyed the pool and dog park.

We were there for just one night since we were traveling, but the staff was super friendly and helpful. When I told the gentlemen checking us in that we were going to Mt Rushmore area, he took a map and highlighted places that were a must see. He was not wrong! Facilities were clean, campground was clean, and it was easy to find.

The employees were very friendly and helpful. The sites are mostly level. Most had sufficient room around them. The tent sites looked awesome. Water pressure was great. It is very peaceful amongst the pine trees. Just wish the mosquitoes were sprayed so one could enjoy the numerous walking areas more.

Stay here! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The park is manicured and clean! They offer breakfast each morning and they have a PetPark. They also offer pizza delivered to your site. We had one of the new patio sites which came with table and chairs and a fire ring and grill. The pool was sparkling clean, Thy really care about your experience. Close to Mammoth Cave & Wind Cave.

All of the staff are very accommodating! Thad, owner is great; breakfasts are excellent. Park is well maintained and great for large dogs. Good off leash areas surrounding the park. Close to many of the areas you would wish to visit, yet not in the middle of the excitement, so you have peace and quiet. A great place to stay!

Beautiful park with alot to do while there. Location to siteseeing is great. Only issue is tight roads for bit motorhomes but is passable. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area.

Some sites are not as spacious as others, in the trees and only about 15 minute easy drive to downtown Hot Springs. Good cell reception, FHU all worked as expected. Stayed here multiple times over the past few years and campground is well maintained and a solid choice when traveling on the east side of the black hills.

It's in a great location. The camp is very clean They provide a pool, a well equiped playground, nice bath houses, and a lovely gathering place with a fire pit. We enjoyed a very inexpensive cooked to order breakfast. Our only concern was in the deluxe cabin we stayed in. No linens, pillows or blankets were provided. They were however available for $15 per bed for the length of your stay.

What a lovely campground, the staff were very friendly. The desk clerk was very knowledgeable with the surrounding area and sights to see along with directions.

All common areas and bathroom/showers were clean at all times. The showers were notably warm! No cold showers unless you want them. The grounds are well maintained. Cabin was clean upon arrival. The perks of some activities on the grounds helped pass the time between other sightseeing. Friendly Staff at check in and out. The fellow campers were courteous of the quiet hours.

We had a nice stay, a couple of things like the DVD player was broken and so was the freezer our Ice cream melted. So the host gave us a couple ice cream sundaes free. The bathrooms were a mess due to a bus load of kids staying at the campground .

We have stayed in this KOA twice now,and both times love the feel of being camping verses in a RV park. Lots of pine trees, tall enough not to cause damage. Staff is very accommodating. Close to all the attractions that South Dakota has to offer. It’s not ideal for big rigs but it’s manageable to get in and out of the sites.

Loved that the cabins were nestled in the trees. Staff was super friendly and welcoming, however we had a hard time checking in at 2pm because the office was closed until 4pm. Nice playground for kids. Clean bathrooms, but the air freshener was overpowering. Quiet, easy access to Hot Springs Town. Cabin was fine and had heat and AC.

Family of 4 adults, 2 kids and 3 dogs and our stay was September 9, 2023 to October 8, 2023. All utilities were still on and working great. The site we stayed in was #18 which was a gravel pull through. The hosts and their family were very helpful, friendly and great! The laundry room was good but due to us being a large family we went into Hot Springs (short drive) and used the Hot Springs Laundromat, and it was great. Hot Springs has everything you need but a bit pricier due to the touristy nature. We used the dog park (which was great f/the dogs to run), mini-golf and playground. Pool was closed to being off-season. You can purchase firewood at the front office, and they will deliver to site and also cleaned out all pits early in the morning (had never seen that before). We will definitely stay here again should we be traveling through.

Stayed here in September 2023. The cabin was clean, and the breakfast served was very good. Staff were friendly. It was nice having breakfast at the campground as options nearby are limited.
