Campground Reviews

Cabin bigger and better than expected for the price. Disappointed the fishing was not better-there were not many options for where to fish and no one we talked to seemed to know where the best fishing spots were on the campgrounds. The mini golf was in very poor shape-not functional. The swimming area needed more sand on beach (grassy) and the roads needed repaving. Staff was friendly.

The view was gorgeous. The staff was courteous. The only downfall was our cabin had an ant problem.

Most sites are nominal. Site maintenance is poor. We don't know why anyone would pay to own a site. Cell phone coverage is minimal. People at front office are very nice and friendly. Access to the park is difficult, particularly from the Natchez Trace.

We had our son's wedding here, and it was beautiful. The staff went above and beyond to help us when it rained and we had to change our plans. It's truly a beautiful place to stay and the staff is professional and very courteous.

This is not a traditional KOA. Not what we expected. Staff not very knowledgable about KOA.

Recently I had occasion to visit you KOA campground in Hogenwald, Tennessee. I say visit because I checked in and then refused to stay in that camp. This camp had NONE of the usual amenities I have come to expect at a KOA camp. It did not have passable paved driveways. It did not have ANY pull through sites. In fact it did not have ANY level sites large enough to park a 32 foot RV. I

The temperature control on the heater in cabin 15 was broke. Could not keep it on because it got too hot. The toilet seat also was loose and kept moving when it was sat on.

Really enjoyed my stay there, it was clean and well equipped for a weekend getaway. Thanks.

Difficult to get to; ruined CB antenna at the very low overpass on approach; no park map provided; poor roads; find your own site!; extremely low water pressure; low voltage with an uncovered 30 amp plug and no switch; no pull-throughs; no sewer at any site and water broken at the dump. Only positives were a good rate and good Wi-Fi. Would never stay here again.

Our ladies group stays here every year. This year one cabin (of three) had the heat/air unit replaced with a new ac only unit. With the temp at night at 37 degrees that was not going to work. When I spoke with the office their response was "we do not advertise our cabins as having heat", however, they very kindly searched for a space heater and brought it to us.

Staff bent over backwards to accommodate us. My son says best weekend ever and didn't want to leave. My only slight critique would be that cabins need some sprucing up, but they were clean and peaceful. We will go back again.

I was on a quiet personal retreat. I knew the cabin would be "rustic." But there was no comfy place to sit, only the garish overhead light, and the bed was horrible. I did not stay for the second night of my intended stay. Oh, and the heat did was not sufficient. I went home to my bed.

Great price for cabin w/bath & kitchen. Not enough bed linens. Toilet backed up Sat & had to borrow a plunger. The adjoining cabin's bathroom also backed up; they moved to another cabin. We used the washhouse. We moved a picnic table and fire circle rocks from an unoccupied site to our site. These should beateach site as I was told they would be there.

I appreciate the opportunity to provide feedback since our schedule afforded no opportunity to do so at the time. We were in the area to attend a conference, which held some of the sessions and meals at the KOA. This was our first experience staying at a KOA. We were thoroughly and completely disgusted by the filth and the stench of our cabin.

We stayed in a cabin, the beds were horrible, it felt like we were sleeping on box springs. We had no blankets, so when got colder than anticipated, it was cold. The cabin had numberous cobwebs around, and there were no dishtowels or dish cloth to wash dishes with. There was suppose to be mop, but not there. No chairs to sit in except the hard straight back chairs at table. But, it was a cabin.

We loved the lake; the cabin was adequate. A light was out in the bathroom and our request to maintenance to replace it was not answered so the bathroom was uncomfortably dark (had to use a flashlight). Also, the toilet overflowed at one point.

We were with the COG group and it was great that they had reserved a location where we could all be together. I stayed in cabin #3 and it definitely could use some maintenance and updating. A microwave would have been nice.

Had a blast. Thanks for everything

This is a campground in transition...not sure what direction it is going in. There is much need to fix and repair most of the facilities. I felt like we were off to a children's camp that has not been in use for several years. we did not understand the whole concept. Definitely not your usual KOA.

lights not working in cabin , last time plugs did not work in bathroom , got 3 spider bites last time I stayed in cabin , I still stayed because i enjoy the place , and your dates are wrong , I hope you don't charge me for those days too ??

Only problem I had was the beds in our cabin (#20) were worn out completely. The trundles were falling thru the supports and the beds in the bedrooms you could feel the springs poking up. Campground is gorgeous tho and had a great time.
