Enjoy deer and turkey hunting in season.
Walleye, bass, brown trout, and others abound in Higgins Lake and many smaller lakes in our area.
In addition to swimming, nearby Higgins Lake and the AuSable River offer various types boating including canoeing, kayaking, tubing.
Many trails abound in the area offering long and short distance hiking, or just leisurely walking!
There are many trails around the area for use of off road vehicles.
Local area offers Nature Trails, including the Marguerite Gahagan Nature Preserve.
Michigan Firemen's Memorial Park
Visit the Memorial Park and view the statute erected in 1980 in honor of fallen firefighters of Michigan. Also see on display firefighting equipment of earlier years. Festival is 3rd week of Sept. of each year. Go to www.firemensmemorial.org for more info.
