Great weekend. Quiet but still had activities going on.

Very clean and friendly. I arrived late and left early so I can only say that they were helpful and everything worked.

We love your campground, especially the friendly hosts and chickens. And those fresh eggs are the best!!!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thanks for the kind comments. Fresh eggs are like no others. We are fortunate to have the productive hens here.

This is a great place to stay! The facilities are super-clean and all other accommodations as you'd expect: a well stocked store, a dog park and activities for youngsters. Thanks

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thanks for the kind comments. We are glad you enjoyed your stay.

The family who owns it treat you like you are a guest of the family. They go out of their way to help you have a fun time. If you are staying there to relax, great. But if you are using it for home base while you go exploring they'll help you find your way around. Awesome campground!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for the kind comments. You actually came very close to quoting our Mission Statement! We strive to provide a place where everyone can enjoy themselves and feel welcomed and valued.

Never picked up trash from previous campers at our site.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

As much as my excellent staff tries to achieve perfection things sometimes get missed. I am very sorry there was a trash bag at your site. Perhaps letting the staff know about the issue while you were here would have allowed us to fix the situation and not allow it to ruin your stay.

KOA folks friendly and helpful. Access to campground extremely narrow and have hairpin curves. Damaged back right tire rim and tire in tight curve which cost me $651 to replace that night. I was driving a 42' Gulf Stream towing a Silverado. I would not recommend this park to anyone with a unit over 30'.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are sorry to hear you damaged your vehicle on the road between us and I-81. This road is heavily traveled daily by big rig motor homes/towing, by farm vehicles and tractor trailers from the local green house and farms.

Awesome KOA! They wear tye-dye t-shirts which is great to identify themselves and shows a happy pleasant side.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Our tie dye shirts are our signature! We enjoy the smiles we get when people see us.

Monica was extremely helpful in making our reservations, and the rest of the staff were quite friendly and helpful. We enjoyed visiting with other campers. It was very quiet at night! We would definitely stay with you again.

Very nice camp ground and the employees were very nice and helpful. Our stay started with an escort to our site, which was very nice. The site was wooded and set up in a way that made us feel we were the only ones there. The fire pit wasn't a metal ring, but a ring of rocks. And the bath house was clean with showers that weren't in a separate closet so that you didn't suffocate:) We'll be back!

Nice and quiet environment with all the trees and forest ... very enjoyable, and lots of bright stars at night ... Feel very peaceful. Wish will be much less mosquito-like-bugs flying around ...

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are glad you enjoyed your stay. We assume you are talking about the gnats that come out during hot, still weather. They can be annoying. Luckily, they do not bite or sting.

This is our 2nd stay. Staff is great, very helpful with "forgetful" guests. Park is actually located in a good place. And we do not just come for the chickens! lol

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for the kind words. We know, it's the fresh eggs that bring you back!

Very peaceful and enjoyable. Four mile drive down narrow roads makes it seem remote, but it is scenic, surrounded by tall trees.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for the kind words. We do enjoy the quiet star filled evening here in our piece of the beautiful Shenandoah Valley.

It is my favorite place to stay. Have stayed there on 3 different trips and will again on my return trip to NE

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thanks for making us your favorite! We have truly enjoyed seeing you evolve from a first timer on a maiden voyage to a seasoned traveler! See you soon!

This is not a big rig friendly park and info about it needs to be taken off website. Could not maneuver to exit and almost cost us $$$$ in damages. Too far from highway.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Our website clearly states we are 3.7 miles from I81. We have people with 45' Motor homes towing with no problems. We have 25' Motor homes not towing who could not navigate the roads. Exiting in the correct direction from the site helps. Shortcuts can be costly as you nearly found out.

Just stayed overnight on our way to FL from MA. Did not use any of the facilities, but we have stayed at KOAs and are members, and have never had a bad experience with any of the campgrounds.
Sep 14, 2014
Campground was nice. Bathrooms/showers were clean. They offered a pool, mini golf and had a nice dog walking area. It's a very "natural" campground but there was a fair amount of poison Ivy that should probably be removed.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

In order to minimize our use of environmentally damaging chemicals, we do our best to eradicate the poison ivy that grows in the public access areas while leaving the non-access areas untouched. It is a part of our regular maintenance process.
