Campground Reviews

We stayed two nights and it was okay. Loved all the trees even though our site didn't have any. The kids loved the pool but the playground is in need of upgrading.

Just stayed overnight on our way to Hot spgs, but overall nice site, quiet, and friendly staff

Don't like all the mobile homes. Smartass dad has smartass kids who have smartass kids. Not very professional like most KOAs we've stayed at.

Very nice campground. We will put this on our list to visit again.

Disappointing for a KOA. Site was too narrow & 6 inches out of level. Barely able to push sliders out. Had to share concrete slab and fire pit w/next-door neighbor. Worst part was the camp hosts/owner, who were terribly unfriendly. My son and I were stopped by the owner as we rode bikes and told not to ride near his dog who was being obedience-trained. We were confined to ride in a limited area.

We have stayed at this campground twice in the last 2 years for a total of 6 nights. The campground is nice and secluded and the staff, though somewhat sparse is friendly. We stayed in a motorhome in May 2014.

Small but convenient and panoramic campground. Friendly staff, fishing pond and very reasonable prices.

owners friendly & helpful restrooms needed work

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The restrooms are on a schedule to be redone. They must be handicap accessible also. Thank you for your comments. Happy traveling.

Really enjoyed our stay. Birdwatching was fantastic. Area had great restaurants (catfish hole etc). Would definitely stay here again.

This campground is just average. We were put in the back with the full time families. With kids running around and being loud. They had a nice area in front that was not even being used. Their Sewer system was overworked, smelled real bad. Sites way to small, width, wise. If we go back to Ft Smith we will look for another campground. Did not see another but will look.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

You stayed for 3 days and never said a word to us about not being happy about where you were. We can move you if you do not like where you are. The time to tell us about it would have been when you decided that you did not like your spot. Down front was not full we could have put you there. Sorry

Friendly,clean.quiet.

Our pull thru site was extra narrow. The other rv next to us was less than 9 ft. The grass on the property needed cutting badly. The owners were super nice and friendly and we will stay again and hope to get a better pull thru site. We were only there for one night.

Well kept campground. Ducks and geese on the little lake.

Pricey $45 versus $35 at other KOAs. Site narrow, slide-out hung over neighbor's patio, no picnic table, did not take us to site. Not up to KOA standards and we stay at them often.

This KOA needs to change hands. There was no water to our site, and the "manager" went home before we could complete our hook up check. They had a poor attitude, and clearly didn't care to serve. The site was poorly maintained, muddy and poorly groomed. It rained heavily and the old blacktop roads turned into ponds. Sorry I'm generally a positive person, but Fort Smith/Alma is an embarrassment

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Rain is a gift from God. If it makes a puddle you should enjoy it. If you usually are positive you should have something to like. It would have made your day feel much better. I cannot change the weather and we are constantly doing maintenance somewhere in the park. It will never be done.

Our Scout troop stays here often. The owner is most helpful and accommodating! The area is well kept, restrooms and showers are clean, wonderful playground for the boys. His area for Scouts is ideal...away from other campers, yet easy access to the showers. Plenty of picnic tables and a fire ring for campfire at night.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We only wish all our campers were as pleased as you and your troop and workers are with our grounds and facilities. We look forward to having you come again. Those boys are very well mannered and act like good citizens. We love having your troop here.

Not at up to standards.tried to park us in a lot we could not even find. Ended up in their more permanent area that is not well taken care of. We did have the best internet and even cable that we could remember. Could be a much nicer park if given some attention...

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

KOA has a policy that if you are not happy with your site you have 1 hour to tell us and we would refund your money with a smile. Sorry you were not a happy camper. That is truly what we strive for is "Happy Campers".

The park is in need of some updating. The potential to have a beautiful park is there, but needs some serious cleanup.
Mar 31, 2014
The electric box at our site wasn't wired right and now we ar having electrical problems with our brand new 5th wheel. The grounds need a lot of cleaning up, there are geese and ducks that deposit everywhere.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The wiring is fixed. The geese we cannot do anything about they are protected. The ducks make lots of our guests happy. They love watching them and feeding them. We have people come from town to feed them. Simple things make some people's day. Thank you for staying with us please come again.
