We love a quiet, safe campground. Just like any other campground, we have rules in our park. It may be unlike many campgrounds but we enforce them. At registration, you will be given a site map with all our policies. We will point out a few but it is important that you read all of the rules so there is no question of we expect of you & what you should expect from us. These policies are common for campgrounds & are not at all unreasonable. If you have any questions, call us prior to your stay & we'd be happy to explain. Thank you!
We pride ourselves in keeping a quiet, relaxing campground. Our guests love it & say this is why they return. For this reason, we do not allow arrivals/registration after 10pm. Our quiet hours begin at 10pm & we find most guests prefer to have a peaceful night's sleep without the disturbance of neighbors setting up in the middle of the night. We do, however, guide every guest to their site until 10pm. Our park is very dark with many, many trees & have found it can be somewhat confusing without guidance. If you are arriving between the hours of 5pm-10pm, please notify us when you make your reservation & we will give you details on after hours arrival. Thank you!
Due to regular drought conditions & burn bans, we do not allow campfires or wood burning of any kind. Please feel free to bring your charcoal or propane grill. Propane fire pits permitted.
Please be aware Fredericksburg is an adult oriented town. Although children are welcome both in our park & around town, there are not many activities geared towards their entertainment. The Fredericksburg area is more popular for adults who would like to enjoy wineries, live music & nice meals. We'd love to have your whole family but want to make sure you are making the right choice for your family vacation & your expectations are met while in our great town.
Let us make our home your home away from home!
The Snapps enjoy their KOA, which they purchased in January of 2009, and go out of their way to make every customer's experience a pleasant one. The couple lives onsite & spends as much time with kampers as they can, getting to know them and making sure that their needs are being met.
"When guests leave our kampground," Randy explained, "we want them to do so knowing that we truly appreciate their business and the friendships that arise through it."
In their off-time, the Snapps still go RVing when they can and enjoy, according to Randy, "Golf, golf and maybe a little golf."
