I arrived late and left early, so I did not have a chance to interact with the staff, but the location, site and facilities were great.

Very nice campground. Would recommend to others, and would stay there again!! My dogs loved the dog park.

Very well-maintained, well-managed park with great people, especially Dennis who accompanies all to their sites, and will go far behind to make you comfortable. He offered to take and fill our propane tanks because it was going to be chilly at night.

It's a beautiful camp, the store is very nice, as is the staff, but we were very surprised with the laundry facility. We were at this camp 2 yrs ago, and a few of the washers/dryers had the SAME "out of order" signs on them. Covid impacted many things, but it's hard to believe the laundry fac could not be repaired or upgraded in 2 (two) years. The newest sign said an upgrade is planned. We'll see.

Such a nice KOA. Woodsy and quiet. Roxanne and Slate made me feel like part of the family, friendly and professional. Hope to come back in the future for a longer stay!

Very nice campground. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The grounds were well kept! The restrooms and showers were exceptionally clean. Will definitely stay here again!

Stayed this time in a cabin and loved it! Great friendly staff as always. Store with everything you could need in a pinch including Virginia beer. Firewood delivered to your site as needed. Fantastic place.

It was alright. The dryers in the laundry room were broken. Bugs came out of the shower drain in our cabin. Firewood for sale at the camp store burned very quickly and did not last long. Overall, probably wouldn't stay again for the price we paid for the cabin.

Didn't understand long term customers not able to secure a patio location? Dog park looks inadequate? I would suggest a different trash set up? Employees spent a lot of man hours picking up trash? Employees were very nice & friendly! We stayed here two months, never had a follow up from management?? She wasn't very friendly? Stephanie I believe was her name?

The campground had many trees and was on the quiet side. It was located near Civil War sites. I do think the laundry needs to be up graded. Washing machines were good. However, 3 of the 4 dryers were broken.

We stay here as an overnight or two in our way to OBX. The park is clean, quiet and peaceful. Lots of shade.

Two night stay . Did not use any facilities. Had a nice pit fire and relaxed. Unfortunately I got sick, and there was a CVS health clinic which took care of me .

The place was small, very clean and overall very nice. This was a maiden voyage with my 13 foot MeerKat camper. Staff were friendly and very nice. We got one of the patio sites and only stayed one night. I would come here again.

The location was lovely but the little lake was dirty and smelled. The laundry was EXTREMELY disappointing. We stayed for 12 days and the place only had 1 (ONE) dryer! With no plans to fix them. They said corporate has been contacted but no word for 2 years! We leave this bad review mostly for that reason. We paid the highest price for our trip so far and were very disappointed.

Lovely, wooded , peacefully quiet setting. Great paved roads within park, gravel FHU with 50 amp sites. Immaculately clean spacious bathrooms & showers. Many of each. Exceptionally friendly & helpful staff. However, poor signage off Hwy. , extremely confusing direction after exit 118. Hwy. 1 not posted. Roads off Hwy. 1 to park are hairpin blind turns, no shoulders & drop offs. $81 overnight, bit high but close to east coast & our Nations Capital

Ran into truck trouble on 95 on a Thursday before Easter. We needed to find something very quickly and close to a dealership to have the truck fixed. Luck was on our side when we saw a KOA 10 miles from the dealer. I tend to over research before picking where to stay, however, we had no time. I booked a site literally 5 minutes before arriving. The grounds are beautiful, shady and tucked into the woods. Plenty of room to walk and for my son to ride his bike. A great playground which he loved as well. There is also a pond on site which adds to the charm. The general store/office was nicely stocked. They did not have milk or butter but had a couple of grocery items such as eggs and hot dogs. It had rained a lot the night before so the grassy areas were pretty soggy but the staff were actively trying to get any sitting water off the sites and roadways. The staff were super friendly, welcoming and very accommodating. If our travels bring us back to this area, we would definitely book again.

Stayed at this campground many times. Great location. This is the first time they charged extra for pets. Not sure why they need to do this. Maybe they charge extra for kids too. Campground prices are high enough without adding extra charges.
