California storms may knock down trees at the Eureka KOA, but that doesn't stop Rebekah and Barbara Rybeck from making their campground the best they can. "We are replanting trees and repairing the minor damages the recent storms have caused," said Rebekah.

Rebekah and her mother have been managing the Eureka KOA for their local church since 2005. The church purchased the KOA as a way to bring people together and build relationships and they asked Rebekah and Barbara to run it. "We all work together to serve the campers and help everyone have fun and make family memories," said Rebekah. Both Rebekah and Barbara live at the campground, providing help with any issues that may arise at any time. "We do what we can to meet everyone's needs," said Rebekah. They also have experience working with children since they both were teachers, and they love visiting with campers.

The campground is very family oriented and is a way to spend time with people you love. Located five minutes from the ocean, as well as close to town, the KOA provides a beautiful place to recuperate after a day of surfing, swimming, or fishing. It has undergone many renovations, and Redwood trees envelope the landscape. A miniature golf course is being installed and a group fire area has recently been added. "We have many activities including bingo, ice cream socials, crafts, campfire stories, and movie nights," said Rebekah.

By far the most outstanding display of these giant trees in the 500 mile redwood belt and is accessible to all with convenient services provided along the way.

The museum and dining rooms feature early culinary items in addition to historical mementos from the early years of the lumber and logging industries. Three private rooms are available for large or small gatherings. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. Special prices for children. Be sure to ask for a coupon at the office.
