Campground Reviews

Friendly staff

The campground was clean and in a nice location, except for the tent sites. You have to drive downhill on dirt and gravel in order to get to the sites. We were on motorcycles and pulling a small trailer. It is NOT motorcycle friendly at all. Bathrooms are toilet and shower units. It's a long time to wait for a toilet when someone is showering. No swimming pool at this Holiday KOA.

Excellent location and super friendly and helpful staff. Only downside is the RV sites are super tight and you essentially have to set up camp behind your rig, which has no shade. They have more camping cabins than RV sites from the looks of it.

Excellent in all respects. One of the best KOA’s out there! Thank you

Wonderful staff. Park is very tight on space, and the parking situation for your vehicle is terrible if the park is somewhat full.

Outstanding staff and campground!

Very clean and nice

We were able to reserve a premium site for one night and were so impressed! The site had a raised deck, patio set and propane heater, and a beautiful view of the mountains. The campground was full but clean and quiet. The owners were there and were very helpful. We even saw some elk about 20’ from our site!

Beautiful location and fun activities for families; however, they jam you in so tightly! Each spot is ridiculously tiny and you can’t even park your vehicle next to your trailer. They really need to resign these camp spots because we will not camp there again and will not recommend them to anyone.

Beautiful views, friendly staff. Very clean

The cabins were so cozy and clean. The restrooms were close by, clean and easy to access. The location was great, close to shops and the lake. We enjoyed having the fire pit and the beautiful views. The park had something for everyone and the train rides and other community events were really nice too!

Very nice, clean and friendly staff!! Beautiful views too !!

Sites are WAY TOO tight and close together. Access road is also too tight in the turns. No RV over 25' should be allowed. Most site do not allow for tow vehicle parking. Needs additional SECURE parking area for tow vehicles.

This was the nicest KOA we have stayed with. The management does a great job keeping you informed and the place is clean and well run!

There is very limited parking. The price per night is getting really expensive.

Awesome. And the city bus service came in very handy. It was the only covered bus stop I saw on the route I took.

Loved it! We stayed at a basic cabin the first couple of nights due to our last minute reservations and then finished the last three nights in a deluxe cabin! Super clean, friendly staff, quiet campground, well stocked, well maintained KOA! Will stay here again, for sure!

Nice park, showers next to the office are nice, water is hot and the staff is super friendly.

Very clean bathrooms!

The sites are tight - but we had enough room and privacy. Back in site with picnic table deck in rear. Showers were pristine. Great park across the street - trail around the lake to walk or bike. Trail also goes downtown (need to park bikes and walk once in town) - lovely area coffee, shops, restaurants next to the river. Five miles from RMNP.

We have stayed at this KOA before and were happy to return. We are kabin campers and this KOA is all that we want it to be. Super clean bathrooms, attention to detail with all of the amenities, great staff, and a thoughtful kampground. The locations of this KOA is ideal for days of fun. There is also a great view, wonderful wildlife. This KOA conveys the standard that all KOA's should strive for!

Chad was great! Very helpful and kind and the place was clean, organized, and tidy. Probably the best campground experience I have ever had in my years with the Scouts and beyond.

I was in the very last tent site and felt like I was in a dungeon. No view of anything except the marshy brush area by the sewer line and a full view of the female camper next to me coming out of her tent, fully exposed from the waist up. How nice to see that right across from a playground for kids. For double the price of all the other KOA campgrounds I stayed at on my trip, it was the worst one

Best place ever

We stayed in a deluxe cabin and enjoyed our stay. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The area was a great location. Will be staying there again.

There are a 1000 reasons to stay here. Henry and Lynette, the managers are THE BEST. The staff are THE BEST. The owners, Greg and Perry are THE BEST. Clean..spotless. So well managed and attended to. We've stayed in a lot of parks, and a lot of good parks. This one is the best we've experienced. They ONLY thing they can't do anything about - is the weather :-). Seriously - awesome place to stay.

I can't say enough GREAT things about Estes Park KOA!!! Henry and Lynette are the managers and they are simply the best. They run a tight ship meaning the park is spotless, facilities are spotless and if you need ANYTHING, they are on it! Greg and Perry are the owners and they live up the hill and are ACTIVE owners which means they care. This is the RV Park in Estes Park! We will be back!

Just an overnight but the staff were super friendly and helpful, the bathroom and showers were very clean with an extra touch of attention to details

It was a top notch facility with a great staff and a good location. I just think that $70 a night for a tent is way too much

Great upgrades to restrooms. Very happy with new full size mattress. PLEASE upgrade the twins, too! Way too much road noise in front cabins. Did not like #4 right next to pile of lumber, garden shed, and dumpsters.

We stayed at T17. There are horses right next door and when the wind shifts you get blasted with their lovely smell. Other than that camp was clean and staff was friendly. After BLM and primitive National Park camping for 2 days it was nice to have warm showers and electricity. The sites are small and cramped, but it's KOA camping. If you want private there's plenty of wide open space in the National Parks and BLM lands where you can also pack out your poop. Sometimes you trade privacy for flushing toilets and warm showers so don't let the negative reviews on it being cramped sway your decisions. If you're looking for a place to clean up, recharge devices and enjoy a warm shower this place is perfect.

The most tightly packed spaces of any KOA site we stayed in. Fantastic wi-fi coverage for a change. The shop is small and does not stay open late. If you're European, it's a nice walk into town along the edge of Estes Lake, where you might encounter an elk or two.
