Congratulations to all the winners in the 2013 Estes Park Trail-Gazette Reader's Choice Best of Estes contest, more than 366 valid ballots were received through the voting process which began on June 5 and ended on June 20 at 5 p.m. The contest was promoted through Facebook, eptrail.com, and in several printed articles in the Trail-Gazette. Paper ballots were printed in all issues of the Trail-Gazette from June 5 - June 19 2013, and in the June 14 issue of the Estes Inside & Out. An online survey was begun on June 12 and extended through June 20 at 5 p.m.A total of 366 ballots were cast by Estes Park Trail-Gazette readers in the 2013 Best of Estes contest.It is the Trail-Gazette's goal to accurately represent the newspaper readers' choices for their favorites in food and beverage, retail, and services, and to help celebrate our fine local businesses by providing them with recognition.Best RV Park/Campgrounds1. "All Fixed" .. Rain damages have been repaired

Well, a quick update...  as many of you were aware... Our area of Colorado received historic rain fall during the September 12-15, 2013 period.  The damage to our area was very significant. 

Now, fast forward to August 2014 and we are rapidly getting everything repaired. Both Hwy 34 and Hwy 36 have received repairs and are reopened for traffic. Sewer systems are fully repaired.  Our Lake Estes is looking good.   Downtown businesses are up and running again.  All of us, including our elk, are looking forward to seeing you soon.

Travel Advisory

The highway department has now completed 95% of the major repairs to highway 36 between Lyons and Estes Park.  There might be minor delays while they finish some of phase 2 construction items.
