The stumps (wood blocks) at the turns makes things difficult when turning a bigger rig.

The 10 years that I have been staying in the campground has always been nice. I only stay one night every time because I travel north and south on I-95. Every owner has been nice and friendly and helpful once I had an emergency. I'll be there on and off for another 10 years.

It’s a well cared for campground , however we felt there would have been sewer hookups at all sites , especially since the pricing was the same at other KOA’s

The pool was full of bugs and debris; the pump was running but the filter was apparently clogged so the skimmers weren't doing anything. The recently refurbished dump station was problematic; the spring on the hose reel was much too strong, the water pressure was ridiculously high, and the holding tank was full which led to a very messy and unpleasant experience. And the store closes too early.

Stayed 2 nights. Visited Sylvan Heights Bird Park. Ate dinner at the Hen and the Hog in Halifax. The only downer of the trip was the showers were not hot. My 3 basics are to feel safe, get a good night sleep, and have a hot shower. So 2 out of 3.

We have stayed here twice and will be back soon. The campground is very clean, and close to Route 95. I would highly recommend it.

This was a great stop on our way south from Pennsylvania. Easy to get to from I95. A nice clean facility with a friendly helpful staff. Would stop here again.

This was our 6th visit and the current owner Richard was friendly, courteous, and helpful. I can see the improvements he is making to the campground. This is an easy on/off from I-95. Very quiet area. I will return on my next trip East.

arrived late and easily found our site location. spent a very quiet night. never met any of the staff as we left early, but had a nice chat with our camping neighbor who had stayed here several times before. This was our first time at this KOA but found it restful after a long drive, easy to find sites, clean restrooms, and pretty surroundings. We'll stay here again if traveling this way.

Looked forward to a swim in pool but found it closed, manager stated some guests were smoking pot around pool area. Wouldn't have been better to call police and let them deal with it than punish entire park? Restroom facilities old and tired. If we had planned an extended stay rather than overnight, I would have 1 star.

The sign on door of office said Pool was closed since May and they knew it was going to be closed until Mid June they did not email guests with reservations to let them know that the pool wouldn't be available so that they could cancel prior to the 48 hrs & not lose entire deposit. June in North Carolina most people would expect to use the pool. They also didn't mention it when you checked in.

Stopped here overnight on my way back from NJ, sites are large with plenty of room. Workers were friendly and accommodating, only complaint was we could not use the pool as there was a problem with the telephone connection so no way to call 911 if something was to happen. Would definitely recommend this KOA

No Pool, No cable, no dumpsters, no trash cans. Can you wonder why this KOA is so empty? What happened to the KOA standard?

We got to the campground after the office was closed but everything we needed to know was easily obtained in an envelope with our name on it . The restroom/shower house was nice and clean also.

This particular KOA is not what you’d normally see from a KOA. Theres not anything to do at this location to entertain. The man in the office is horrible to deal with and has an attitude over everything. The pool is opened and closed at their convenience. The bathhouse for men was Down to one shower for quite sometime. The list of things about this particular one goes on and on.

We stopped in for the night along our trip. Campground was clean and store staff friendly. Site was gravel and large. No activities or frills during our Saturday afternoon stay.

Advertised pool was not open. Clerk said, “Not for a long time.” The pool had water in it and safety ropes to divide the shallow and deep ends. Since I had my seven year old grandson with me, this was a disappointment. The whole camp is run down and unsightly. It is a KOA in name only. Except that the fee is high, like other KOAs. There were no signs on the road that pointed the way to it

Overnight mid trip stay. We had no problems but we do wish they had gravel on all rv sites as it rained and left tow and unit muddy.

Very convenient to I-95. A bit rustic for KOA, limited amenities and no staff at all. We called at 5:15 on a Saturday to advise that we would be arriving late and the office was closed with a simple message that we should call back during office hours. No after-hours contact or ability to leave a message. Closed on Sundays. We had made our reservation on the KOA app the same day we arrived and luckily there was an envelope with our name on it at the office when we arrived around 8pm. Simple pull-through site was unlevel and grass/gravel but did the trick for a one-night stopover. Dumped tanks and headed out around 10am the next day. Never saw any staff; was pretty empty on the weekend. Doubt anyone comes here except I-95 travelers stopping over (there were a few older trailers that appeared to be full time / long term residents in the back). It is less than 5 minutes from the expressway but very quiet. Couldn't hear the traffic at all. Definitely would consider as a stopover in the future. Halfway between NY/NJ and Florida so convenient for that.

Kind and caring staff.Beautiful quiet and remote setting. Easy and close access off I 95.Great stop to rest overnight or a week of rest.I suggest you bring what you want and need. Closest stores between 15 to 20 miles.Nature and simplicity.Remedy for the soul.
