Quick overnighter. Clean restrooms. 8/10. Pool was clean and big. Lovely grounds. Very customer oriented. Gave us a bag for our trash!! Pick up every morning by 10 am. Very close to the interstate so easy off and on.

The campsite was very nice. Laundry facilities were great. People in front office . I felt there was not enough to do in the area for the 3 days we stayed there. It would be a great overnight stop.

Was pleasantly surprised that this Journey campground was just far enough from the interstate that traffic noise was not a problem. Other Journey campgrounds that we have stayed at have a lot of road traffic noise. Only negative was the dust that was created by vehicles going too fast and creating a lot of dust. Stayed for five days and would definitely stay here again. Carol

Pleasant place to stay. We spent one night on our way to Myrtle Beach. Access from I-95 was easy and the site was very level. Overall, we were pleased.

What got mediocre rating this time was that the office is closed Sundays for the ENTIRE day. After meeting up with an employee who had the day off I was told every Sunday it is closed. Not what I expect from KOA. I planned to get needed items from the store. At the very least I would have appreciated an email upon registration that the office/store would be closed all day. Disappointed.

Easy and peaceful. Great pull through sites and care and attention to detail. This is my second overnight stay. All rv amenities available and sites are flat gravel. Plenty of space to walk your dog too.

Charged us additional for our truck and enclosed trailer, never was charged additional anywhere else, and some psycho neighbor off the premises was knocking on our door at night going off about someone’s car alarm, scared us, because we didn’t have any clue of who she was, and what she was capable of. They charge you for a fire ring.

Quiet, peaceful, close to 95 quick on and off. Clean pool, clean bathroom. (It's not new so don't expect it to be high end) It is perfect for taking a day or two break on way to Florida. We visited Smithfield (Ava Gardner museum) and biked a trail near Roanoke Rapids. Friendly people. Would definitely stay again thank you.

We only stayed 1 night on our way to Florida & again on our way home. Nice campground. Only complaint is that there is nothing close by, like a pizza place to deliver. But we had a nice stay.

Very clean bathrooms. Enjoyed the store with the “loaner” Louis Lamoreaux books and the friendly cat who welcomed us and sat on our lap and purred. Very comfortable.

We were very happy with our 1 night stay. The pool was nice and clean, laundry room was good and our site was sun and shade. We would definitely stay again.

Close off I 95 easy off and on for 1 night stay. Park very nice lots of trees ! Pool area and bathrooms nice and clean . Good area to walk my dog and a Off leash area !

This is a wonderful KOA with friendly and very helpful hosts. Sites are spacious and shaded. Nice grassed areas throughout the campground that are well maintained and pretty. If you're looking for a relaxing place to stay this is it. The restrooms and showers are immaculate as is the pool. I have stayed here twice: in 2019 and June 2022. I'll be back!

The staff was friendly and helpful as always. We are always treated like family and with the utmost respect when we stay. Bathrooms were clean and had everything we needed. The pool was clean and well maintained. Our labradoodle always enjoys camp K-9 where she can run and play off-leash.

I’m rating this campground a 4 because there is nothing to do in the area. We had to drive quite a ways to even find dinner. Downtown Enfield was a very sad area to visit. Rocky Mount was better for restaurants. As for the actual campground, it’s a nice one for a one night layover but that’s it.

Very convenient to I-95. A bit rustic for KOA, limited amenities and no staff at all. We called at 5:15 on a Saturday to advise that we would be arriving late and the office was closed with a simple message that we should call back during office hours. No after-hours contact or ability to leave a message. Closed on Sundays. We had made our reservation on the KOA app the same day we arrived and luckily there was an envelope with our name on it at the office when we arrived around 8pm. Simple pull-through site was unlevel and grass/gravel but did the trick for a one-night stopover. Dumped tanks and headed out around 10am the next day. Never saw any staff; was pretty empty on the weekend. Doubt anyone comes here except I-95 travelers stopping over (there were a few older trailers that appeared to be full time / long term residents in the back). It is less than 5 minutes from the expressway but very quiet. Couldn't hear the traffic at all. Definitely would consider as a stopover in the future. Halfway between NY/NJ and Florida so convenient for that.

Kind and caring staff.Beautiful quiet and remote setting. Easy and close access off I 95.Great stop to rest overnight or a week of rest.I suggest you bring what you want and need. Closest stores between 15 to 20 miles.Nature and simplicity.Remedy for the soul.
