Explore the best of the Southwest on the famous Durango & Silverton Train, a jeep tour to the mining remnants and ghost towns of the San Juan Mountains, and a guided interpretive tour of Mesa Verde National Park.
The 4th of July is amazing in Durango this year! There are activities all day long with something for everyone.
Start the day with a pancake breakfast and a 5k fun run at Rotary Park. Breakfast from 7:30 to 11 am. The free fun run is for all ages, and starts at 9 am.The Family Fun in the Park starts goes from 11 am to 5 pm at Buckley Park. Listen to readings of our nation's founding documents to remind us what the day is all about. Shop at the Kids to Kids Flea Market. Three bands are playing, plus we'll a magic and juggling show.
At 5 pm, the Street Dance starts on the 800 block of Main Ave. The High Rollers will provide entertainment.
The Street Dance takes a break at 6 pm for the Stars and Stripes Parade on Main Ave. Up to 50 entries are expected this year!
The Fireworks Show will be just west of Downtown and good views are available at any cross street.
Performances are held at the festival tent, high up in the majestic San Juan Mountains at Durango Mountain Resort. Venues also include The Community Concert Hall and Roshong Recital Hall, both at Fort Lewis College. In addition, Rotary Park, Three Springs Plaza, and St. Columba Church were hosts to festival performances.
With 60 years of experience, the Four Corners Gem & Mineral Club really knows how to put on a show. This years event will feature kids activities all weekend, a silent auction, raffle, mineral displays, and about 40 vendors selling everything from small, inexpensive fossils and minerals to jewelry tools and supplies to finished jewelry and artwork.
Durango Fiesta Days
At 80 years old, Fiesta is a grand old lady. Celebrate our Spanish and Native American history and cowboy heritage with rodeos, a downtown parade, barrel races, chuck wagon cook-off, pancake breakfast, and much more. Celebrate in Durango as we look to the past and to the future in July. All events will be at the Durango Fairgrounds (except for the BarBQ/Pie Auction/Street Dance and the Parade).

The 18th annual San Juan Brewfest will be held Saturday August 27, 2016 from 1 to 5 pm in Downtown Durango at Buckley Park.
We come together at the Brewfest to celebrate beer, friends and have some fun, but we are also raising money for United Way of Southwest Colorado. Last year we generated the most ever, almost $25,000!
Labor Day Weekend Motorcycle Rally
The Four Corners Motorcycle Rally happens all over the Four Corners for the 24th year.
Tell the boss ya gotta have a few days off. Tell him you feel like you may be coming down with the four-day flu anything just get to Ignacio and Durango for rally fun.

The Gathering is an exciting, fun-filled event with evening performances and Saturday daytime sessions. Poets and musicians from throughout the country grace our intimate stage at the Strater, performing classic and contemporary poems and songs that will bring tears to your eyes and keep you in stitches.
