Meet Your Hosts
CloseDillon KOA owners Bob and Pam Meyerson have been Boy Scouts leaders, Girl Scouts leaders, teachers, and raised four sons who achieved Eagle Scout status. "We know families, kids, camping and fun!" says Pam.
Bob, a former Chief Financial Officer for a private holding company, loves fishing, camping, hiking, RVing and football. Pam is currently finishing her doctorate degree and cooks, bakes, enjoys crafts, camping and RVing. She has volunteered in numerous fields, all focused on helping kids and those in need, including Scouting programs, teens in a probation facility, a Parent-Teacher Organization and as a Religious Education instructor, among others.
Their helpful philosophy extends to their campers. "We deliver ice, propane and firewood to everyone's campsite. We smile and we care," says Pam. "We want every camper to feel at home at our campground. We would like them to have a wonderful experience here at our KOA and in Montana. We want them to feel as if Dillon KOA is their 'home away from home.'"
Pam shares a couple of their favorite stories about their campers: "A little boy got his first fishing pole in our store. He went out with his Dad and Grandma fishing on the river. He came running back, screaming, "I did it! I caught my first fish!"
We were so excited for the little guy! He was just beaming and it made our whole staff very happy - knowing he will remember this when he grows up. Heck, I remember where I caught my fist fish with my dad!"
The Dillon KOA offers fishing on the Beaverhead River, where one camper came for two days and learned to fish. He ended up extending his stay for a week, because he loved it so much. "My husband, Bob, was so tickled when the camper came in every day, beaming and showing us the fish he caught," says Pam.
