We had issues with our truck on our first full day here, (in the shop for 10 days) and needed to extend our stay. Management went above and beyond to allow us to stay in our spot until repairs were completed, even though that spot had been reserved for the second weekend we were there. More shade trees would be nice....and regular pest control to kill all those nasty little gnats everywhere!!!

We came out for a short 3-day stay and was pleasantly surprised at how wonderfully the staff manages the campgrounds. Everyone was friendly and helpful, MUCH different than another KOA that we have frequented. We were happy to book (2) more stays while we were there. THANK YOU for a wonderful experience.....!!......See you again soon...

We only stopped for the night on our way through but I would give anything to stay for an extended period of time. There are so many things to do I could easily spend a few weeks without being bored!!! I recommend 150%.

It was a nice campground with friendly staff. It was less than.a couple miles off the interstate. The campground and bathrooms were clean. The pool was nice and refreshing after a hot day at the fair. We did order the pizza and wings, which they delivered to our campsite. :) The pizza was good and the wings were okay. It was nice to have the convenience. We would definitely stay again.

Great activities for kids. Our grandkids had a ball. Very hot but you have no control over that�. Only thing would be more showers, and they were fairly dirty since all the swimmers were using it to change.

THE STAY WAS FANTASTIC AND THE CREW MEMBERS ARE ALWAYS THE BEST. THE ONE THING I WOUL DSUGGEST IT THE BATHROOMS ESPECIALLY THE ONES BY THE PLAYGROUND EITHER NEED TO BE CLEANED MORE OR A SQUEEGEE NEEDS TO BE LEFT IN THE SHOWER TO CLEAN THE FLOOR OFF FROM ALL THE WATE AND DIRT AND GRIME WHEN YOU WANT TO USE IT. THE PROBLEM BEING PEOPLE ARE NOT SMART ENOUGH TO KEEP THE SHOWER CURTAIN CLOSED AND TO ST

What a clean and friendly place to stay! The staff was so helpful and there were so many activities to do with kids, we had kids ages 2-8. We would definitely stay again.

Clean facility, very helpful and friendly staff, lots of activities. Our fire ring was missing the grill grate. I mentioned it to one of the employees and he had a new fire ring with grill grate installed before I made it back to my campsite. We will stay at this KOA again next year.

We liked everything about the campground except for the traffic noise. Could you put up a wood fence along the edge of the road for a little more privacy?

We look forward to our stay in West Des Moines KOA every summer when we are in Central Iowa. Reservation and check in is convenient. Love the text chat with the office. Clean, great Wi-Fi, love the pizza/wings, teens love the pool, and first time camping with our dog went great. Other dog owners were respectful and agreeable. See you next summer!

The campground was alright. I was disappointed that being a KOA that the bathroom was in terrible shape you could smell the mildew as soon as you walked in. The showers had mildew in them the walls are peeling away from the sides. They advertise wifi it is non existent. No pool. Nothing like the website

We stayed for a two short days. We did not use any of the amenities, but there were kids playing and everything was kept clean and neat. The staff was extremely friendly. We did order pizza to our site and that was very convenient. We would definitely stay here again.

Was a great stay . They were very helpful working with me on getting my spot .lots of stuff to do if you wanted to do something from movies and live music, swimming and things for the kids to do. Was there a month enjoyed my time there. Also let us no by text about what to do in case of bad weather and what activities they had going.thank you for wonderful stay.

We have traveled all around the U.S. KOA West Des Moines is by far one of the nicest KOAs we have stayed at. The check in was easy, we were escorted to our site! They even delivered pizza to our site after ordering. ( great Pizza). The staff and Manager are top notch and extremely helpful for any needs. It is really clean and well laid out. A lot of children’s activities. RECOMMEND 100%

Very helpful and nice staff! The bathrooms were clean and so was the pool. Nice sites and very quiet at night. I will be back for sure and would highly recommend this place.

This is one of the nicest, if not the nicest KOA's we have stayed at. The large campground is well located, clean, well maintained, and the staff friendly and helpful. Their pizza kitchen is right next to the registration desk and the aroma of baking pizza is enough to easily encourage purchasing a pizza for dinner. The pizza was just okay, but helped me avoid cooking for the evening :-)

The site was easily accessible, but we showed up for after hours check and they didn't have us on the list because we booked online. Glad they answered the phone after hours and were able to confirm the early afternoon online booking and get us a site.

We enjoyed our stay at the one room cabins, very clean. When booking the reservation, the lady on the phone was super helpful in getting us booked and making sure we knew where we would be going for our late check in. Bathrooms and showers were very clean! Thanks for a great stay!

We arrived in the evening and the office was closed. I called Brian and he was so helpful and quick to check us in so we could get out of the cold. The park is so well maintained and you can tell they take great pride in the park and the KOA name. Great place to stay for a night or site see the covered bridges.
