Visited the Denver West/Central City KOA in May 2023, extended our stay by 2 days to continue area exploration. Facility is in good shape with may site options. Wife was pleased with the laundry facility and W&D takes coins. Better signage could guide those big-rig folks to the KOA desired exit route. Central City is a 10min drive and downtown Denver ~35min east. Great scenery, snow capped mts.

Stayed at a tent site, they are spacious and well equipped. Overal campground was very clean and quiet, friendly staff! I will definitely stay there again!

Our stay was average site fine with patio . But one of the most remote campgrounds we have ever stayed at very difficult with motorhome /towing vehicle going up and down extremely steep grades !

We like the campground. Sites are narrow with not much separation. We wish there was some green space to walk our dog, not just gravel. We were in site 24, seems like this area is more for long term stays. Give the nicer sites to the campers that are only therefor a few days.

Super friendly staff all around! From the check in to everyone that helped us get settled in our spot and a guy that offered to take our trash when we were leaving! High Five! Nice level concrete in space 69, big rig spot. Larger rocks, instead of gravel in between the spaces made it challenging to walk around while hooking and unhooking up. Altitude at 8900’ be aware!

Great place. Stayed many times in our 43 foot DP and now in our 24 foot class B+. Actually won a few bucks in town at the Casinos.

Loved our site with the view of the city. Just a bit difficult with the climb getting here. Would definitely stay again when traveling this way.

I have never been to a more beautiful place. And the people that work there were absolutely the best & friendliest. We had to put our dog down and these people were so caring, loving and accommodating. They made what could have been a nightmare trip into a trip that was more bearable. To Denver West : we love you, we thank you and we’ll never forget you. Thank you from the bottom of our heart.

We enjoyed our stay there. The employees were super nice and the campground was very clean. Central City is a neat little town.

Beautiful grounds, great staff, a perfect balance. I am a disabled vet with some health issues. These issues are my responsibility, however upon learning I needed assistance, the owner was very helpful, caring, and sincere.... we even shared a laugh or two along the way. Beautiful campground. Our view was spectacular. Most of all the staff and owners are terrific. We happen to be there when it snowed but that just added to the beauty. We have already booked to go back the end of August through Labor Day. We went to the nearby casinos but during our next stay we plan to enjoy hiking and go to Leadville. Can’t wait!

This was my first ever experience and everyone was so helpful. I wouldn’t have known what to do at times and they took care of all my questions and needs. Highly recommend!

This is a nice campground, We love the view of central city from up top, However, It is sad that because of the price the only time we can go there is off season when everything is closed. Also why do they not except the KOA discount for members in the winter?

This was one of the nicest, most beautiful views of campgrounds we've stayed at! �ϋ� Very kid friendly, fun hot tubs, breathtaking views! My family really enjoyed relaxing for 3 weeks and breathing that fresh mountain air. Even got almost daily rainbows, and even 1 hail storm. The staff was more than accomodating and sweet. We will return!

While we arrived very late and left very early, the easy pull thru was fantastic. Only wish we would have seen it during the day. It look beautiful at night. Nice and secluded.

The staff members were amazing - every single one of them! The cabins are cute inside..everything is absolutely clean. The only issue we had was the wind, but that is outside of the staff's control😁

We stayed at the campground in July 2023 in a 32' Class C motorhome pulling a small car. We were in campsite #2, a pull-in campsite overlooking the Central City area. Campground, store, and laundry area were great. Only "issue" was the route to get onto Central City Parkway to head back to I-70 was a little confusing as cannot leave the campground the way you enter the campground (no fault of the KOA campground). The Hidee Gold Mine tour was close by and well worth the time (be prepared for a rough road to get to the parking area). Central City was not worth the time to visit - very little to see other than casinos.

Wonderful location, we loved that we were so close to walking trails. The campground was clean and the staff was very nice. We loved the store, it stayed open late and had almost everything that you may need.
