Close to Downtown Deadwood, but very tight for a motorhome! We were directed to go to our site via the exit route to be able to back in at the proper angle. We could barely open our slides and awning with out overlapping the sites seating area next to us. Nice hosts, but tight campground for a Class A. They should tell you about that and the steep elevation on the website prior to booking.

Space and roadways were tight and not well marked. Not all roads were obviously marked. Our 30 amp service plug appeared broken, we used the 50 amp. Shuttle to town was a plus. For a Holiday KOA it came up short. New owners took over business in July. Hope they make appropriate improvements.

Backed up plumbing in dirty restroom/showers. Not allowed to have campfires. We made coffee and the tap water tasted like a garden hose, so our coffee did too. No stairs down the steep hill from Gold Hill campsites. We were spoiled by the KOA in Hot Springs, ND which was $20 cheaper. KOA in Deadwood needs an update.

No room in between site’s no parking hard to get in and out of camp site

Pleasant, convenient with $1.00 trolley to town. Bath houses were clean. Only drawback is the spaces are tight.

Campground was clean and the accomodations were nice. The sites are cramped and hard for people to navigate parking.

It seams like there isn't enough room for vehicles. We being the guy next to me and myself had to move our trucks every time someone came in with a trailer across from us. Otherwise they wouldn't of been able to even park there rigs?

Reservation requested space for unit with 2 slide outs. Area to small for both slide outs to be extended. Units beside ours also extended into our area.

Very good

We had a great time! Everything was very clean. Our kids loved the pool and we all loved taking the trolley to Main Street in Deadwood. We would definitely stay here again!

Staff was awesome campsite are very close tight fit hard to get around if camping very long not any room to really sit outside and enjoy the view that the campground has to offer

staff very helpful and friendly

Everything about staff and amenities was great! But, I don’t like being packed in like sardines and this place packs ‘em in! The trailer space wasn’t even wide enough to park my truck across slot in front of trailer! Definitely not my kinda place! Compared to other KOAs, this place sucks!

Staff really nice camp grounds clean

The campground was very clean. The staff we encountered were very courteous and helpful. We were there on a wheeling trip and the sites were rather small for all of our vehicles. They were very accommodating in finding space for us to park. We had an excellent time. Thank you!

The facilities are very clean and well kept. The employees were very friendly and helpful with any questions. This location is unbelievably beautiful. We will be back.

Site was neat and clean. Hosts were very nice. Should clarify that wifi is very spotty in case folks need to access to the internet

Location and cable Tv channels were good. Sites were very tight. There was little room to park pickup truck used to tow bumper pull camper. We had a back in site with concrete patio and picnic table. Campers had to move picnic tables to park extra vehicles on patio.Laundry room was too small for use by management and guests.

The new owners are great! My family had a great time in the heated pool/ hot tub. Nestled in the hill side with beautiful scenery.

Excellent customer service, very nice bathrooms

Had a great time, nice location very close to historic Deadwood. Pool and hot tub were a nice extra. Only negative was no fire pits at the campsites and weren’t able to enjoy the community fire pit. Great visit!

The spots are really small, almost too small. I was surprised how little room we had in our pull thru site, it was a tough spot getting in and very tight squeeze getting out. The spot was very unlevel, it took us longer than normal to jockey around the mud puddle and try to level out. I was not prepared or expecting the steep mountain terrain. The hosts were nice and have a lot of work to do.

It was conveniently close to town. It was clean and quiet

Conveniently located. The spaces are a bit tight and it might be challenging to enter for a person new to towing because it is quite hilly. But the sights are level. And it is a pretty spot. I just stayed one night and was very happy.

The spaces are tight. It is convenient to Deadwood especially since the trolley picks up out front. The pool is freezing. Needs to be heated.

Friendly staff, easy check in and wonderful swimming pool. Quick bicycle ride to the Mickelson Trail.

Very relaxing and clean area. Only downside was our neighbors left their outside light on all night which shined directly into our bedroom.

It was just an overnight, but it was very nice, the owner was great, it was on the trolley service to town. Showers were very good. Nice dog, too.
Jul 12, 2021
staff is very nice and friendly but the park is cramped super tight spaces.
Jul 12, 2021
Very hard to get into as entrance road steep with sharp turns. Tiered levels with steep roads. very short sites that are super close to your neighbors. This is an old campground set up more for small RVs not modern day RVs. Very nice couple that runs it. Nice laundry and pool. Playground, gift shop. If you have small RV great otherwise may need to reconsider. Choose to Deadwood which is a must

This KOA was taken over by new owners 5 days before we arrived. The new owners were fantastic! Super friendly, accommodating, and so very helpful. The scenery was excellent and the facilities were great. We will definitely be back!

Gorgeous country. New owners at this Koa. Nice friendly people. They have a few things to improve but over all it is well worth staying at..

Very nice stay - great location to Deadwood, nice store and pool, friendly staff, only disappointment was how close together the sites were - had to walk on neighbors site to plug in and didn’t use sewer on-site went to dump station instead because of tightness.

Our stay was wonderful. Our power pedestal needs looked over. The space were little tight. But the new owners were awesome.

Campground was tight. Would have liked a little more room between campers. Definitely enjoyed the luxury of the trolley service to downtown.

Nice KOA, set up well, easy to access. Has all the hookups, multiple settings. Tent, cabin, campers and trailers and 5th wheel. Great view.

Whenever we're in the Black Hills for the Sturgis rally or just visiting we always stay here. The CG is now under new management but they seem to be doing a terrific job. This time we were tent camping in a site we last camped in back in 2013. I always recommend this place to friends, and those seeking a place to camp while in the "Hills." They also feature a trolley that takes you into Deadwood and brings you back.
