We've stayed here a number of times and it's always been good. This last time was different. The campground was a bit mixed up it seems - putting rigs that were too big into certain spots. The K9 yard was overgrown and lots of poo in there. Maybe we caught them on a bad day?!

Very welcoming. Kids and dog had so much fun. Family friendly. We loved the animals.

Made a mistake on my reservations. Got there a night earlier a they accommodated for an extra night. Stayed in the Gold hill area. Restrooms were very clean and convienent. Will defiantly stay there again.

A very clean and convent place to stay ,very close to Deadwood and yet very quiet. Staff were so helpful and kind. We only stayed 2 nights and left early the second day so we did not get to use the pool or the other facilities. We would stay here again.

NOT big rig friendly. However in their defense, KOA needs to add horse trailer to their list of RV types or at least allow you to define other. Because of our situation they did allow us to check in early so that was nice!

We had a great relaxing stay. The hosts/owners were awesome and friendly. The laundry room was nice and prices were good. The Deadwood Trolley and Grab-a-Cab were inexpensive and great ways to get to downtown. It’s a nice KOA and we will stay again.

Sites a little tight for 38ft RV, but no major issue. Hosts very friendly and welcoming with lots of info provided for things to do in the area. Pool, hot tub and bathrooms well maintained and very clean. Camp store stocked and organized. My daughter enjoyed the donkey and goats!

Was good, one heater in cabin was not operational, other then that it was great, other years during rally they had an economical breakfast every day, sure missed that

Stayed two nights with family. Owner and staff were very helpful with local info. Trolley to town was easy and lots of fun. Very clean and highly recommend as a stop for all travellers.

Very pleasant staff and the Turners were great. Campsite was more than good. Our stay was very wet and camp area was muddy. A little more gravel would have been much better. This is not a big complaint just a suggestion. If I come back I'll stay there. Great location to see sites and ride the area.

I can't say enough about the ownership team at the Deadwood KOA. I pulled in as a first time RV renter, struggling with some water pressure issues inside the coach, and the owner, Gary, spent about an hour of his time helping me troubleshoot. Not only did he selflessly help with our issue, he also personally arranged transportation to downtown Deadwood, as we missed the trolly. They're the best!

Good management… too much mud, u need more gravel….too high of price even if it was Sturgis week. The hot tub was too filthy and unhealthy too use… Still, great staff made it a good stay.

Gary was the best host I had a blow out on the way there and he did everything possible to help out plus helped me unload my bike. Thanks to him and his staff

Great place and location, staff was incredible and friendly. We smelt propane when used the fire table that they may want to look at. Will stay there again!!!!!!!!!

The camp hosts are very kind and accommodating. I saw the gentleman help guide several individuals into their spots. This was my third stay here. I love the black hills.

The hosts were very nice, the store, pool hot tub laundry room were all very clean. The only drawbacks are the Rv lots are very small so small your awnings come very close to your neighbors till outs leaving very little room to put anything of yours out to enjoy. Also the hiking trails were all but none existence

Sites and roads to get in/out were tight for bigger motorhomes (we had 38 ft plus tow car), but hosts were so helpful and personable it made the stay enjoyable. Campstore, laundry, bathrooms and pool were all very clean.

If u want to stay close to town this may be your place. Sites are very close and u may have some short turns to make. It is on a hill side. We were so close neighbors were stepping on our power cord and disconnecting our power. Was not convinced our 30 amp line was working correctly, blew a couple of time with very few things turned on. It is clean with all the stuff u would expect from a Koa.

Level parking, nice showers, new playground equipment. Pool looked nice but we didn’t hav the opportunity to enjoy it. Close to exit but not right on highway—-nice not to hear I-80.:)

Nice location for access to downtown Deadwood (designated KOA stop on the public transit trolley). Facilities kept up nicely by attentive campground hosts. RV sites are a bit tight and the tiered layout with cabins (with outdoor patios) around the perimeter can make for noisy weekend nights.

Owner was great and very helpful but this place is way too small for Class A motorhomes 35 ft and towing. The view is awesome and cannot be beat.

Lovely campground with a beautiful pool and hot tub and owners that genuinely care about their guests and their campground! We also enjoyed the shuttle service into town and our quiet peaceful stay!

I arrived 2 hours early, the office manager was sitting outside smoking and playing on her phone. She said no they were too busy, which is fine and I left. At 3 I returned and the manager was still outside talking to her friend and rolled her eyes when I pulled up. Later at the pool the womans daughter, her 4 kids and her friend made it impossible to enjoy. Worst experience I've ever had at a KOA.

Everything was very nice! The owners were fantastic very helpful and friendly. Only thing I think the shower rooms could use some air conditioning it was a bit warm in there.

Very short stay; but the facilities and the grounds are absolutely beautiful. Only reason I don't rate it a "5" is the spots are fairly small and tight against each other.

Nice KOA, set up well, easy to access. Has all the hookups, multiple settings. Tent, cabin, campers and trailers and 5th wheel. Great view.

Whenever we're in the Black Hills for the Sturgis rally or just visiting we always stay here. The CG is now under new management but they seem to be doing a terrific job. This time we were tent camping in a site we last camped in back in 2013. I always recommend this place to friends, and those seeking a place to camp while in the "Hills." They also feature a trolley that takes you into Deadwood and brings you back.
