Hosts very friendly and helpful! Spent time talking with us about sights in the area so we could maximize on our 2-day stay. Our first time visiting the area. This KOA seemed pretty convenient to most sights but we saw a few others that looked nice also so can't say we would def stay here again. Hosts could not have been nicer and women's' bathroom was so nice and clean!

We arrived after the office closed but no worries we found the envelope with free pitches and prices so found a suitable spot. Great campground in a good location. Only issue was WiFi - it would not even allow us to load emails

We try to stay at a KOA as a group, I am normally assured of a clean, friendly campground. This campground exceeded my expectations as I have never experienced such a friendly helpful group of managers. The campground was fantastic and the team never seemed to do enough for us. The Hot Dog social was the frosting on the cake. A special callout for Dave Lucy Jenny Travia Parrish and John.

Of the three KOAs we stayed at on our trip this one was the best. The camp managers made all the difference. They constantly out and about answering questions and helping where they could. Our RV site was wide and we had plenty of room. You could hear some road noise, it wasn't bad and died down in the evening. I would definitely stay here again.

The people here were great and facilities were great. We had to leave one day early due to freezing conditions predicted. Would go a week earlier in Fall next time (prior to October). We were there the last few days they were open prior to closing for winter.

The campground is located in a beautiful ponderosa pine forest just to the west of Custer. The facilities were very clean and nice. The night we arrived, the hosts treated the campers to a hotdog roast dinner! The campground was a convenient base camp for exploring the local sights. Highly recommended!

The staff was excellent. Very friendly and helpful, always smiled and asked if we needed anything. Lucy and Parrish were amazing. They provided us with great information about the whole Custer area. We would definitely stay at this park again. One suggestion to improve would be to add a handicapped shower located in the office shower area.

The setting is lovely. Love the Hills. The campground nice and clean. Most importantly, the folks working at the site were super friendly and helpful. Very impressed with them. Lucy and her husband were especially helpful. On our way out a man blessed with travel blessings. Loved it. Would highly recommend. Thanks

When we arrived our Jeep wouldn’t start. Parrish helped me jump it off. It was idling rough and he volunteered to follow me down the highway in his truck to see if it would clear up. Lucy highlighted a map of all the points of interest for my wife. Met John twice as I was going to the dumpster with my garbage. He took it for me. You’re blessed to have employees like Parrish, Lucy and John. So

Our 2nd time camping here! Loved it 2 years ago & just as much this time! Nice, comfortable sites, clean restrooms & laundry area, well-kept grounds, super friendly & helpful staff (Special thanks to John & Janny!). Beautiful location & positioned perfectly to easily explore so much of what the Black Hills has to offer. We certainly hope to return...one of favorite campgrounds in the US!

Very clean campground, sites are very accessible for our big rig, staff were always around and helpful. Great experience, the only negative might have been the price of firewood, you could get about two and a half times more wood for a couple bucks more in town, plus it was very dry and burned fast. No biggie though on the wood, it didn't take away from the great people that run the campground.

Well kept campground very close to all the attractions. The camp hosts were amazing. They explained all the attractions and showed us on a map how to get everywhere. They answered every question we had! Thanks!

All KOA staff were very friendly, we appreciated being placed in a site next to our friends since we were there for a week. We enjoyed the breakfast a couple of times and the wood delivery was convenient. Thank you for a great week!

We stayed with you for several days and nights. The Custer Mountain KOA was perfect for our visits in the area. We enjoyed visiting with you and your staff. We also visited with several other campers and their wonderful dogs, Molly, Rudy and Maverick. We love so many things about Custer, especially seeing all the animals in the game loop. We'll be back sometime. Thank you.

This KOA was the best KOA we've ever stayed in. What made the difference for us was the staff. They went out of their way to provide the best customer service we've experienced at any campground in our travels. The icing on the cake for us was when the gentleman delivered our firewood to us in his pajamas. Having said that, it wasn't for the wonderful attire, it was that he did this with a smile even though we had not arrived back to the campground until well after the office was closed and it was already dark. This KOA is beautiful and has all the amenities that a traveller could ask for. It is located within a half hour drive of so many of the attractions in the area. We'll be back and we're hoping to have the same gracious and friendly staff to greet us again.

Our 2nd time camping here! Loved it 2 years ago & just as much this time! We splurged for a patio site this time & it did not disappoint. Nice, comfortable sites, clean restrooms & laundry area, well-kept grounds, super friendly & helpful staff (Special thanks to John & Janny, who were amazing!). Beautiful location & positioned perfectly to easily explore so much of what the Black Hills has to offer. Nice to be able to come back to your campsite after a fun day of exploration & be able to relax comfortably outside with a nice fire (some of the KOAs where we stayed on this trip, simply did not have enough room between sites to do that comfortably). We certainly hope to return...love this area & this KOA is one of favorite campgrounds in the US!
