Really amazing KOA. The hosts were the absolute best. Great store. In the morning, you could order breakfast and eat at the indoor dining or on the patio. I understand they sometimes offer dinners. It was a beautiful place in a beautiful setting. Lots for kids to do too.

Custer KOA is an excellent family vacation spot! From the ages of 14 to 5, my kids all loved vacation. Highly recommended and already planning the next stay.

There was a problem with one of the hookups upon our arrival, but the staff resolved the issue immediately and we were set up soon after that. Excellent KOA and we recommend a highly.

Out of an almost 3 week journey across multiple states; staying at all KOA's, the staff here were the best out of all. Very friendly and kind. Very accommodating. Nice quiet clean facility. Well shaded which was nice because we don't like staying in "parking lot" campgrounds. We will be back!

Staff was super welcoming and helpful. When we had an issue with a runaway jeep they were right there to assist us getting it out from where it landed. Little cafe was wonderful after a long day too! The only thing that could have been better was a more level site. We sat tilted to one side without a way to right our selves as our leveling system decided to quit on us for this visit.

One of the nicest KOA’s around. People are friendly, the grounds are immaculate, and nicely quiet. This will be our go-to campground every time we visit the area. Great little cafe too! The grandson loved the cheese curds ���

The staff were friendly and offered excellent service and suggestions. Loved the pool, the location is close to all activities. Some sites are a little small and the front restrooms/showered need to be expanded for handicap use and adults with small children.

Fantastic hosts! Clean camp sites and facilities. Perfect base camp for all things happening in the Black Hills. Awesome for kids! Loved our stay!

This was very well run and friendly resort with all the amenities we needed. Bathrooms were so clean and showers had hot water. We will definitely return for another stay!!

We have stayed here several times and have always enjoyed it. It is in a convenient location, just a few minutes from Custer and an easy drive to Custer State Park. The restrooms are nice. The staff has always been helpful and friendly. We enjoyed eating breakfast a few times in the cafe.

We absolutely loved staying at this KOA. Our truck broke down in Rapid City, luckily we had friends staying at this KOA and we were able to have our friends tow our trailer here. Treva and Janny found sites for us for 5 nights. We had to move sites once, but didn’t mind. We were so grateful for the staff working with us to have a place to stay. Beautiful sites, clean, kind staff, and so helpful.

Our stay at Custer/Mt. Rushmore was phenomenal! All staff at this location were friendly and aimed to please, going out of their way to make the stay great. The park is conveniently located, clean, and amenities were fantastic. I wish all KOA camps were as delightful as this one. Kudos to the crew!

The location had everything that was advertised, pretty well located just after Custer town. The staff was very nice and helpful whenever needed. It had recently been updated so everything was well maintained and looked new. We would definitely stay again if we are around those parts.

asked for 50 amp with full hookups ended up with 30 amp water and electric only. misunderstanding on phone im assuming. worked out ok. generally a decent place to stay

This KOA was the best KOA we've ever stayed in. What made the difference for us was the staff. They went out of their way to provide the best customer service we've experienced at any campground in our travels. The icing on the cake for us was when the gentleman delivered our firewood to us in his pajamas. Having said that, it wasn't for the wonderful attire, it was that he did this with a smile even though we had not arrived back to the campground until well after the office was closed and it was already dark. This KOA is beautiful and has all the amenities that a traveller could ask for. It is located within a half hour drive of so many of the attractions in the area. We'll be back and we're hoping to have the same gracious and friendly staff to greet us again.

Our 2nd time camping here! Loved it 2 years ago & just as much this time! We splurged for a patio site this time & it did not disappoint. Nice, comfortable sites, clean restrooms & laundry area, well-kept grounds, super friendly & helpful staff (Special thanks to John & Janny, who were amazing!). Beautiful location & positioned perfectly to easily explore so much of what the Black Hills has to offer. Nice to be able to come back to your campsite after a fun day of exploration & be able to relax comfortably outside with a nice fire (some of the KOAs where we stayed on this trip, simply did not have enough room between sites to do that comfortably). We certainly hope to return...love this area & this KOA is one of favorite campgrounds in the US!
