We had a great visit! The hosts were great and super helpful when we needed changes to our reservation, and the kids loved the jumping pillow and pool! Only complaint was lukewarm water for showers, which wouldn’t be an issue in the height of summer but was a little bit of a bummer when it was 50 degrees outside :). We would definitely return

Amazing staff!! The showers are the best of all the KOAs we’ve stayed at I’ve the last few years!! Just wish there were bathrooms closer to the two bedroom cabins.

Cabin, bathrooms and showers were all super clean. Plenty of shelves, benches, hooks and plugs in cabin for storage and recharging electronics. Also water at the cabin site, large picnic table, grill and firepit. Large sink behind the store for washing dishes. Couldn’t have asked for anything better!

Bathrooms need updating. Camping spots are small. Said we were a certain length and needed much bigger. Love new pool however and was disappointed no showers by pool.

Very pleased! I have camped my whole life but had never stayed at a KOA until this trip. Used KOA in several states including yours and will always use KOA from now on!

Everyone was very nice polite and helpful. We really felt welcomed. The campgrounds themselves were really nice and relaxing. We’ve already decided that we r coming back to the mountain next year and we’ll stay with u guys again.thanks.

Bueatiful camp site. Terry was extremely helpful, we stopped at the site on our way for a long day visit to Devil's tower and then Deadwood. She allowed us to have a key early, so we could get right in when we arrived late. Thank you for your hospitality!

All was good except the lady behind the front counter. Very bad attitude, seemed overwhelmed/stressed and showed it in front of the customers. Supposedly we were suppose to check out at 11am where the brochure said 12. We get a call and text 22 minutes into packing up with a message saying we are an 1/2 hour late and suggests we start packing. No checking to see if we’re ok or anything but get o

The site we got was not level. It sloped back about one foot over the 40’ length of the site. A little more gravel at the back end would improve the site. We found a great hiking spot across the highway.

Pull through sites were tight. Tent campers had to walk through our site to get to the rest rooms /showers. Probably need a dedicated path for tent campers to get to rest rooms /showers.

Great location, lots of trees, extremely nice and helpful staff. And even though the campground itself was hilly, our site was perfectly level!

Very nice and accommodating campground! The staff was pleasant, helpful, knowledgeable and helpful! I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend the Custer/Mt Rushmore/Blackhills KOA…..thank you!

Clean grounds, well maintained sites, clean and convenient showers/restrooms. But most notable are all the wonderful people who work at this KOA. We did not run into one staff that was nothing but exceptional. Looking forward to a return trip in July!!!

We stayed in a campsite. It was our first time ever staying at a KOA with our family. The first impression was not great because others have told us that people are crabby at KOA's but we tried it anyway. As soon as we came out from checking in. Two RV's had pulled up and locked us into the parking spot glares came our way as we drove through it and didn't yield to the RV's. After that great!

Very nice facility with friendly hosts. Sites are roomy. Not as fancy as many KOA'S . It is for that reason that we liked it! A little far from major attractions, but doable.

Everything was good. It would be nice if separate bins for recycling were offered and if the tent spaces were a little farther apart, but I understand that can not always be done. Enjoyed the stay.

This KOA was the best KOA we've ever stayed in. What made the difference for us was the staff. They went out of their way to provide the best customer service we've experienced at any campground in our travels. The icing on the cake for us was when the gentleman delivered our firewood to us in his pajamas. Having said that, it wasn't for the wonderful attire, it was that he did this with a smile even though we had not arrived back to the campground until well after the office was closed and it was already dark. This KOA is beautiful and has all the amenities that a traveller could ask for. It is located within a half hour drive of so many of the attractions in the area. We'll be back and we're hoping to have the same gracious and friendly staff to greet us again.

I can not say enough amazing things about this KOA the staff were friendly and went out of their way to help us and make our stay an amazing one I would go back in a heart beat and highly recommend

Our 2nd time camping here! Loved it 2 years ago & just as much this time! We splurged for a patio site this time & it did not disappoint. Nice, comfortable sites, clean restrooms & laundry area, well-kept grounds, super friendly & helpful staff (Special thanks to John & Janny, who were amazing!). Beautiful location & positioned perfectly to easily explore so much of what the Black Hills has to offer. Nice to be able to come back to your campsite after a fun day of exploration & be able to relax comfortably outside with a nice fire (some of the KOAs where we stayed on this trip, simply did not have enough room between sites to do that comfortably). We certainly hope to return...love this area & this KOA is one of favorite campgrounds in the US!
