Rudy and Sara Johnston, owners of the Cross / Santee Cooper Lakes KOA Kampground, love the outdoors, water and people. "We pride ourselves in delivering a personal and receptive environment for families and friends to come and relax and enjoy each other, as well as make new friends," says Rudy.
"The Cross / Santee Cooper Lakes KOA Kampground offers everyone the opportunity to enjoy family-oriented, safe, beautiful, waterfront surroundings. We are lifelong campers and we can really relate to campers' lifestyles. We make the effort to exceed campers' expectations of a traditional campground," says Sara.
Before making their living on the campground, Sara was in the banking industry and Rudy was a site work contractor, a charter boat captain and a fishing guide. Today, Sara enjoys reading, traveling and her "Daschund children" while Rudy enjoys fishing, fishing, fishing!
