Lovely campground. Lots of trees, flowers and super quiet. Met the owner and had a long conversation about plans for the future. Had a full hook-up site that worked perfectly and was able to chill and watch a movie with internet. It’s close to Turkey Run and Shades State Parks so we will definitely be back.

Very nice office lady. Security rounds are made quite frequently. Safe area. Ballfields super close. Lots of older camps/permanent residents. Beautiful pond with laying geese. Mini golf was fun. Town was a quick bike ride away!

While we were thankful that the Crawfordsville opened early for the season to accommodate Eciplise travelers, we were disappointed. This location did not live up to the expectations we have learned to expect from a KOA. I tried to list all the shortcomings but was limited by the max amount of characters allowed in this response. The last straw for us was no water available at the dump station.

We stayed for the solar eclipse. They had gift boxes, cut the grass in the field where everyone would be viewing it, very friendly . They did not raise the rates or require minimum 3 night stay. It was great!

WIFI kept dropping out. It was eclipse day, and it was necessary for updates.

The owner was super nice. Our site unfortunately was a big mud hole, other site seemed to be the same while others looked nice. Watched the eclipse in the big field which is the reason we stayed there so that was great.

we have had non stop rain the week prior everything was wet and muddy that is why we let customers pick from multiple sites I believe I circled 4-5 for you to choose from at your liking.

We had a great time on our tent camping for the eclipse of 2024. The host was responsive by text, and had a thoughtful welcome gift for the event at self check in. There was a nice playground my kids thoroughly enjoyed, and everyone respected quiet hours. Even though we were in off-season, I could hardly tell. The bathrooms were clean, and everything was in order. We had a great time!

They really need to have an off-season rate for early spring when people are just passing through. It's VERY expensive for basic services only. The water at the dump station wasn't even turned on yet.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hello your rate was $61 for water, electric, sewer, and 50amp. you had a full hookup site you could have used the sewer dump on your site with full hookups. We don't turn the water on at the dump station until we know no more freezing temps!

Great stay! Love that we had a full hook-up option early spring. Location was ideal for visiting Shades State Park and Turkey Run State Park. Less than 30 minutes drive to either. Hope to visit again

Water was out…. Assume staff was working problem during office hours so nobody available to offer check in assistance. So myself and another camper drove around aimlessly trying to find our sites after going the wrong way on our pull throughs. AC power wasn’t very clean or stable at site 41.

Thiss our off season. We do not have office staffed hours until we open for season in April. That is why we leave marked site maps in the nite box for people with clear directions how to access campsite. I am sure you read the sign on front door stating this. You were site 34 not 41 so maybe review

The campground is fine, but expensive. I also feel that even in the off season it is important to be available to answer the phone or respond quickly to messages, at least during business hours.

Spent the weekend there with our 2 youngest grandsons and really enjoyed the campground. Camp sites were nice and evenly spaced and had good rock base that was mostly level. The boys enjoyed the park immensely and kept the young ones occupied. Nice K-9 fenced in area that even had shared dog toys available. The youngest grandson really liked that the lowered basketball hoop too!

The campground is occupied by a few unsightly unkept units. Unfortunately, this detracts from otherwise nice setting.

I looked at what site you were in, this is our off season, so we had 2 campers next to your site that we are in the process of gutting, cleaning up, and reselling. I am assuming that is what you are referring to. That will all be taken care of before we re-open for the season in April :)

I wasn't able to contact someone by phone when I had a question, but when we arrived there was a small packet with our name that told up everything we needed to know.

Yes you arrived in our off season months, we always leave reservation maps in the nite box for people as well as our off season/on site phone number to reach if needed as well :) Glad You enjoyed your stay!

Staff was friendly but the campground just didn't rise to our level of expectations for a KOA. All the services at the site worked fine but everything was just tired. Laundry was not available after 5pm. We also filled three bags with dog poop on our site and even more at the dog park. At $65/night, this was way overpriced for what we have paid at other campgrounds of much higher quality.

Hello yes this is our OFF SEASON/December we do close that up at 5pm :) majority of days we don't even have a single overnight camper this time of year. As far as the dog poop, yes that would be nice if people picked up after their furkids

The only way we knew this was a KOA campground was the signage. We were very disappointed in comparison to other KOA Journey experiences.

You were here as we were closing for the season, end of the season. SO I will take comfort in knowing all the amazing reviews I received all summer long during the summer months. Thank You tho, you were so nice to me in person too you could have mentioned when we talked what all you did not like.

I believe the landscaping in between campsites needs to be pruned. So that when pulling out of the site we do not scrape our rigs or damage the landscaping.

This is the perfect halfway point from Iowa to Tennessee. It’s easily to find and easy to park. We usually don’t unhook out tow vehicle, so the pull through sites are great. Friendly people.

Don't think we will stay there anymore. We were on site 21. We could not pull out to the right without scrubbing tree limbs and really wasn't wide enough anyway. Had to go straight through another site to turn right. Also, no signs to tell us how to exit. On a good note it was decorated cute for Halloween.

Exit arrows are on the site map and we also have exit signs posted thru out the campground, one way in and one way out.

While getting our propane tank filled the person noted that one of our tires was low. He filled it and strongly recommended that we have it looked at. We followed his advice and discovered that there was a significant leak.

We had an extended stay for the whole month of October, not only was the owner so kind and helpful to my family, but the staff always went out of their way to help make our stay the best.

Good campsite for short stays with RVs however some sites are sunken or super muddy. If it rains good luck moving your RV.

I've never stayed here but I delivered pizza here a lot. Whoever runs this place is great, always helpful and kind. I want to buy an RV just to have a reason to stay here

Rough around the edges. Pros: Good strong internet. Easy hook-ups, convenient location, animal friendly, unique, and grounds are decently maintained. Staff is kind. Cons: Staff is kind, but some are little gruff. Dogs barking is loud and continuous. A little tight pulling through. Road noise is louder. I would stay again for a night or two, unlikely for a long-term stay. It has a super cute family owned feel.
