We offer an excellent RV experience for any camping enthusiast. The beautiful surroundings, great weather and home-town Texan hospitality make our park a favorite among our guests. With a friendly, family atmosphere and immaculate facilities, we invite you to come on down and stay with us. Whether it's for a night or a week, we would love to have your company!

With 51 full hook-up RV sites set among our spacious landscape and tall shade trees, we can accommodate almost any size RV, from the 50' big rig to a pop-up trailer. The sites at Columbus KOA are all set on level ground. We take pride in our immaculate facilities available for the convenience of our guests. J.T. and Courtney Traverse bought the Columbus, Texas KOA in 2003, as a business they could operate into their retirement years. Courtney retired from her career with the Katy Independent School District, and J.T. continues part-time as a Sales Engineer.

"We want to please our campers in every way, as much as we can," say the Traverses. "In addition to our first priority of having happy campers, the appearance of our campground is extremely important to us."

Where will you find J.T. and Courtney when they get the chance to take a break? "RVing, of course!" they say.

The Preston Kyle Shatto Wildlife Museum The museum is free to the public and includes more than 75 exhibits of different species of wildlife. For more information, visit the Shatto Museum online.

Attwater Prairie Chicken National Wildlife Refuge Take a 5-mile auto tour and/or hike into the prairie and wetlands which is home to one of the last populations of the critically endangered Attwater's prairie chicken. Early mornings and late evenings are the best times for wildlife viewing and photography, so bring your binoculars and your camera. To learn more about the Attwater Refuge, visit them online.

Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center The Wildflower Center is a botanical garden dedicated to native plants and in 2006 it became an organized research unit of the University of Texas at Austin. With 16 unique gardens, enjoy a short or long stroll on the trails and listen to the gentle sound of a stream.
