Welcome Kampers! We invite you to enjoy staying in the Great State of Alabama!
Welcome! We know you will love our spacious family-oriented campground. We are just minutes away from the exit and so easy to find. We have large level sites- 50 in all with plenty of room for even the "Big Rigs" with room to kick back and relax! While here you can mosey on over and have a nice meal at Shoney's Restaurant (walking distance) and be sure to not miss the "world famous" Heaton's Pecan Farm- just across the street (walking distance also) to taste locally grown pecans, and homemade Peach Ice Cream! Yum- Yum! Of course if you want to try your luck in our stocked lake, you may finally "Catch the Big One! Our campground has quick access off of I-65, just 1/2 block off of the exit. Conveniently close to restaurants, shopping, and recreation in Old Downtown Clanton History buffs will love being only a short distance(30 min) from Historical Montgomery and all of its attractions!

The campground has 50 spacious sites, each with a variety of newly planted shade trees, gated children's play area, fire rings, 30/50 amp at all sites (no extra charge) free wi-fi, picnic tables, free cable TV, nature walking trail, stocked 8 acre lake, pet walk area, outdoor open air lighted pavilion, state of the art laundry room just to name a few of the amenities.
Campers can enjoy " free" hot coffee daily in the RV/KOA sales office. Popcorn is also a daily treat for all campers!

Big Peach Tower
On I-65 between Birmingham and Montgomery is an impressively large water tower resembling a peach. Chilton County is Alabama's peach central. Adjacent fruit stands and establishments like the Peach Tower Restaurant radiate a unified civic vitality. Clanton's big peach is 120 feet tall, and holds 500,000 gallons of water -- but it ain't the biggest. The Peachoid in Gaffney, SC, is larger and double the volume. Fred the Town Dog
Fred the Town Dog Beloved mascot of a small town, Fred is remembered with a monument. Rockford's adopted mascot, Fred the dog, died on December 23, 2002 in a Birmingham animal hospital from a mysterious animal bite. Fred had been a celebrated fixture of the community since he showed up and was nursed back to health in 1993.
Hank Williams Death Car
Hank Williams Death Car Montgomery, Alabama Hank Williams was country music's first megastar. The prolific musician and performer wrote songs such as "Your Cheatin' Heart," drank too much whiskey, had family problems. He died in the back seat of his Cadillac while being driven to a gig in 1953, at the age of 29. The Death Car is the centerpiece of the Hank Williams Museum in his home town of Montgomery.

Confederate Memorial Park
Confederate Memorial Park • 10.0 miles Confederate Memorial Park is the site of Alabama's only Old Soldiers Home for Confederate Veterans. In operation from 1902 to 1939, the home cared for elderly veterans, and wives and widows of veterans. The majority of veterans served in Alabama outfits, but many were from other Confederate states and moved to Alabama after the war. The last veteran died at the home in 1934. The facility closed in 1939 when the five remaining widows were moved to Montgomery for better care. Features of the 102-acre site: two cemeteries, Mountain Creek Post Office, Marbury Methodist Church, nature trail, covered pavilions, and museum containing artifacts from the Alabama Old Soldiers Home, and uniforms, weapons, and equipment used during the Civil War.

Lake Lay is an Alabama Power lake with 177,000 kilowatt generating capacity. It is an excellent recreational lake with fishing opportunities for largemouth bass, spotted bass, bluegill and other sunfish, crappie, catfish, striped bass, hybrid and white bass.

What started as a simple road-side fruit stand has now become a place where thousands of people visit each year. Montgomery Museum of Fine arts
The Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts, a department of the City of Montgomery, is supported by funds from the City of Montgomery and the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts Association. Programs are made possible, in part, by grants from the Alabama State Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts. The Museum is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 10 A.M. to 5 P.M.; Thursday, 10 A.M. to 9 P.M. and Sunday, 12 P.M. to 5 P.M. The Museum galleries are closed on Mondays.
