The activities listed below are available to our campers year-round. Please contact us during office hours with any questions or for assistance.
Fishing - KOA style
Bring your fishing poles and bait! Our campground features a large, well-stocked lake. Catfish, both small and large mouth bass, bluegill, brim and crappie await both seasoned and novice anglers. You can fish from our pier or anywhere around the lake. (Please note that no one under the age of 18 is permitted behind the fence.) Catch and release is preferred.
We have a horseshoe pit to the right of the bathhouse, behind the playground and enclosed pet area. Come to the office to borrow a set of "shoes" to do some pitching!
Like to walk?
If walking is your game, take a walk around our lake - with or without your four-legged kids! Starting near site 17, the path takes you around the lake, coming out on the opposite side near Dandy Lane. Continue your walk around to the office and pier - and take time to enjoy some refreshing ice cream in the office - then finish your stroll back to your site. You might even see some fish jump as you enjoy your walk.
Campground EventsListing Calendar
Attention All Flyball Enthusiasts!
We will be having our first ever Flyball Festival on the evening of Saturday, June 7th! The event is to show our appreciation to the flyball teams who have come to know the Dandy RV/Clanton KOA as one of their homes away from home when attending a flyball competition. Any of our registered campers that day are welcome to attend as well.
We will be providing hot dogs, hamburgers (cooked outside on a grill, of course) and music. The rest is pot luck!
Let's all hope for great weather on the evening of Saturday, June 7th! We look forward to seeing you there!
