Meet Your Hosts
"Welcome to the Clanton / I-65 S / Dandy RV Park!"The KOA in Clanton, Alabama opened in August 2010. Owners Jim "Dandy" and Tammie Cooley have been in the family-owned RV business for over 35 years. After many years of enjoying the RV lifestyle with their 3 children, they finally decided to pursue a dream of Jim Dandy's to open a KOA Kampground. In August 2010, they opened the KOA in Clanton, Alabama at I-65's Exit 208.
The campground has 50 spacious sites, each with a variety of newly planted shade trees, gated children's play area, fire rings, 30 or 50 amp electric at all sites (at no extra charge), free wi-fi, picnic tables, free cable TV, nature walking trail, stocked 8 acre lake, pet walk area, outdoor open air lighted pavilion, and a state of the art laundry room - just to name a few of the amenities.
Campers can enjoy free "cup o' joe" (coffee, tea or hot chocolate) Monday - Saturday mornings in the office from 8:00 am - 10:00 am. Cold bottled water is also available any time the office is open.
Managers and campground hosts Roy and Linda Byous live on site. Their residence is in the left end of the building housing the office - the first building you see when you come down our driveway. With their extensive customer service-oriented background, they will show you why the Dandy RV/Clanton KOA is your home away from home!
