Very nice place. Stayed for a week. Staff very helpful, beautiful grounds overall great experience. Busy on the weekends so hard to keep up with the bathrooms. Suggestion, put mats in the shower stalls as the wet floor is extremely slippery. Getting in & out of the shower was difficult. I had to hold on to something to keep from falling. And the floors in the shower stalls were ALWAYS wet.

We were there for 6 nights. I grew up in the area, but moved away 50 years ago. The KOA was a very convenient location for us to reconnect with friends and the park is very nice with a lot of trees for shade. The only thing I would recommend, is sprucing up the laundry room.

Nice facility, clean. Reason for low rating was the incessant barking dogs by us. They started by 6 a.m. and continued throughout the day. We like dogs however we don’t go camping to listen to them bark while their owners are sitting by them visiting. This was the first time we have had that experience at this facility. Thanks

Wasps nests Cutting the grass around site while sitting outside blowing all the clippings on our mat- rude Sites very close together with holding tank hose by the picnic table Not likely to stay there again

Nice clean camp ground, sites are well maintained, staff was friendly. Great place to stay if your with little ones. If your looking for hiking or biking trails your out of luck. My only gripe was the dump station, the water hose attachment was a cutoff at the end, so your unable to hook it up directly to your rig for flushing you gray and black tanks.

The bathrooms were cleaned, but the spider webs in the corners weren't cleaned out, and all the doors/floor need scrubbing. It appears the bare minimum is routinely done, they are still rather dirty. It would be helpful if the swimming pool hours were posted on the handout given at check in. We went to the pool one morning but it was closed. It would have been nice to know hours ahead of time.

Campground is clean & well maintained. The miniature golf course has been updated. Kids enjoyed the various activities on Saturday. Pool was enjoyed by all although a little crowded at times. I appreciated the text messages about an evening thunder storm & other matters,

I'm glad we sprung for an upgraded camp site... Most of the campground is pretty darn tight! The edge/prairie view site that we were on was pretty nice. My wife and our dogs also enjoyed the fenced in dog area and the trail that they could walk on. Props for greeting us at the gate and leading us to the site. We also noticed that the map included in our envelope was marked well too.

We enjoyed our stay! The staff was friendly and helpful and our campsite was lovely. A bad storm passed through our first night. The text updates were very reassuring. We were kept updated and given the option of riding out the storm indoors if necessary. First thing the next morning they were cleaning up after the heavy rain.

Overall it was a great experience at the Chicago Northwest KOA. Sylvia Weber and her team did a fantastic job providing communication for events and inclement weather warnings. They kept the laundry room open as a shelter in place which was nice to hear that they care about the safety of their guests. The sites were clean and well kept. I would come back here for another stay.

Great place to stay. Super quiet with lots of activities. The staff was great and communicative when we had a severe storm warning. The deluxe site we were in was not flat so we had to adjust for the downward slope. Not ideal for a deluxe but still a nice spot.

Bathrooms look like they were built with old wood/beams. Sites are nicely spaced. We had a patio/ swing, very nice site.

The grounds were nice and maintained! The staff were friendly and helpful. My kids loved the jump pad and the pool! The only issue we had was the water was cloudy and smelled bad. Even made my tanks smell weird in the bathroom. Showers were iron smelling. The KOA before and after didn't have this problem, so I know it's not my camper! Nice KOA overall though!

We had a great time. We spend most of our time visiting our son's family in Arlinton Heights. The real thing to remember staying there is wasp nest behind our camper. No one was stung but boy was it big.

This is the perfect campground for a quick getaway from home but still close by. The campsites are all well maintained and equipped with varying amenities like fire pits, picnic tables, wood porch swings and pet pens. We like the KOA Deluxe Patio sites. Need ice or firewood? A text to the office will bring it right to your site.

We stayed two consecutive weekend as we were volunteering at the Illinois Railway Museum. The Chicago NW KOA is so convenient and comfortable. It was a pleasure to stay.

Good site, backed in at #70. Vegetation behind and overhanging our site made it pretty and shaded. No close neighbors were in evidence though this could change with busy periods. Wonderful overall. Dave

The swing on site 62 has at least 3 nails sticking out and 1 board on the back loose. The site was a bit small to fit our camper. It was nice to be near the bathrooms. The activities for the kids on Saturday was good. The pool was clean and well taken care of as was the campground itself. It was quiet and peaceful. I would stay here again.

Great campground and staff. Unfortunately we didn’t get to enjoy much of the amenities on Saturday because of all the rain. Staff was super friendly. The only complaint I have is the dump station. There was no place to hook a hose to do a flush out after dumping.

This KOA was shaded. The pool was great. There was a sense of peace because it was so quiet. We plan to stay here every time we come for business in Chicago. Thank you for your delightful pool and your evident care for the property. We are immensely grateful and look forward to seeing you again.

Beautiful area. Near Chicago but not too near. Lovely train museum and farm stores nearby. Great places for dogs. Friendly people. Beautiful grounds. We didn’t use the amenities much except the laundry room and my husband used the bathrooms. They were all very clean and neat. Only complaint is wifi was non existent. Couldn’t connect at all and we were near the office.

Site was very nice but away from pool, etc. Confused thar the store opens at 3 PM and there is no personal touch. Very nice and secure stop over but not a destination spot.

The stay was nice. Our campsite was huge and very affordable . Close to the playground and facilities. We did run into an issue with a movie we were trying to watch. Quiet time on-line stated 11 pm but we were told to be quiet at 10:15 pm. Meanwhile campers told us we were not loud but we lowered it finished the movie with no other issues. But all in all it was a good visit.

Very friendly people, well kept campground, nice clean laundry facilities, very nice store in office, I liked the security gate system at the entrance. Nicole was very nice and welcoming when we checked in. Only detractor was the water was hard with iron in it? It stained our shower and toilet (which came off with a little elbow grease and good gone). Not a huge deal though/

I love that you are located away from the city but still close enough to local grocery store and restaurants. Owners are so nice. We always have something fun to do while we are there.

We went the last week of September and was a blast for the kids since they has a lot of activities related with Halloween. Kids had a lot of fun. We had an excellent spot for our trailer. Bathroom are clean.

Great location, convenient to the highway. Super cute park with a ton of amenities & maintained very well. Reason for the 4 stars would have to be the water at the site. Came through dingy yellow/brown. My best guess is rusty pipes?
