The office/bathhouse are nice, but the grounds of the campground were horrible. Sites were not very clearly defined, were uneven, and had no grass - just pockets of weeds growing through gravel. Playground equipment was old, moldy, overgrown with weeds, cracked concrete. No street lights so pitch black. We did not sit outside or make a fire because the aesthetics around us were just terrible.

The sites are so small! And not just small, the layout of the campground makes it that there is no privacy at all. For almost 80$ per night, I would have expected much more for a campground like KOA. It was my first time, and probably my last in a KOA as I am sure that I can find something better for the price.

We only stayed for one night, but we wish we could have stayed longer. The KOA was very clean and bathrooms/showers are the best we have ever seen. We plan to stay again. Thank you, for taking good care of us!

They had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay ….! We went from Pennsylvania to Virginia and have stayed at many KOA campgrounds over our 12 year span of camping some were worse than others! Charlottesville shines above the rest in all aspects , in our opinion .

The campground location was pleasant, clean, and nicely wooded. Store was well-stocked and the lady who checked us in was very pleasant and knowledgeable regarding the campground. Bathrooms were the best we've seen in 3 years travelling around. Not only were they very clean, but the arrangement of each shower room included a sink and toilet. There were toilet-only rooms as well.

I was very impressed with the upgrades to the wifi signal. Also, the shower rooms and bathroom facilities are second to none! Clean, roomy and well appointed with matching accesories - well done by management and staff!

We didn't want to leave. The site 9 was beautiful and with the internet upgrade we can work from there now. We are planning our spring trip. This campground is always very clean.

Very nice site right next to a lake. Bathhouse was very close with OUTSTANDING showers! Staff was very professional and friendly. Entire campground was very clean and well manicured. I’ve stayed at KOA’s all over the USA and this one has about the best showers.

We enjoyed our stay and appreciated being able to reserve a specific site, although the extra cost seems rather high. The (individual) restrooms were always clean even when over a busy weekend. One of the dryers was very old and noisy and old, requiring two complete cycles to dry a small load of clothes. Staff were courteous and helpful. Sites are well laid out to try to maximize space.

insufficient power led to issues. no shade at our site although it appeared most sites have tree coverage. campground entrance is tricky.

Staff was less than friendly. Demanded we pay for and get guest tags for family members, but had guests at their site who had no guest tags and who were obviously using KOA facilities for showering. Staff’s dog was seen using the bathroom at different sites, and was not cleaned up after. Several areas were very overgrown. Bath houses were nice though!

Very nice and wooded campground. Pleasant staff. Convenient location. Magnificent Monticello nearby. More than likely will return when traveling north & south.

This campground is very convenient to downtown Charlottesville and attractions yet still feels like you are in a wooded country setting. Very quiet at night after quiet hours. Ashley was great. She called us since we were arriving in the evening. She made sure we knew the advised route for trailers. We will return again when visiting Charlottesville.

Small KOA. All gravel. Difficult to leave with RV due to severe blind spot from the left. Had to get out and spot for my husband. Low hanging branches. Staff not that helpful.

We stayed Friday to Monday and had a very good time. We did the wine trails and distilleries tours. The campground was centrally located so we didn't have to drive far to get to anything we wanted to visit. Our site was nice, open, and full service. would recommend it to anyone that wants to visit the Charlottesville area.

We were there for long weekend and enjoyed that it was quiet. We did not see many who worked there but the check in was very pleasant. Apparently the pool has been painted a olive green which can make it look dirty so we did not swim..maybe that can be addressed along with the vines growing along the fence as well. Overall though we would go back. It’s close to a lot of things to go and do.

The spots were clean and well laid out. WiFi and amenities worked great the entire weekend. Bathrooms were too notch. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Loved it all!

Very nice, clean, well maintained KOA. We stayed in a pull through where smaller trailers and cabs were, it was wooded with spectacular trees and quite private. There was an area that was very nice for bigger rigs. Dog yard was small but clean and nice. Bathrooms were very nice. Poison ivy all around so be careful.

This KOA is off the beaten path which was nice as it was quiet and remote. The folks that run it are a nice family. They are putting a lot of work into it with the addition of several new sites. Nothing fancy to speak of here, but was a great stay for seeing the Charlottesville area. The road in is two lane and a bit winding but our duelly and 39' fifth wheel made it just fine. Be advised there is bridge construction on a google route that is narrow and tight turn. The office advised us of how to avoid it. Happy trails.

We had a two day stay here in early April. The bathroom facilities were immaculately, clean, and private. My kids state that this was the best campground they've ever stayed at. The staff was extremely thorough and friendly. Prices at the general store were excellent. They also have a propane filling station, which is a nice plus. Would definitely recommend and give five stars. PS. There is an awesome nature, hike and pet trail.
