It rained all the time we were there so there was mud by our site. It would have been better if the camper was on crushed stones. Also, with the hall by the bathrooms, they were not kept clean.

Great setting. No cable. My parents stayed in a cabin (with a bathroom). The bed was horrible. Open sewer line outside cabin door. We considered asking for a refund and moving to another campground.

Sites were good and campground was pretty. Staff was accommodating...not particularly friendly. Bathrooms were adequate...mostly clean, no soap in dispensers. It had rained a lot and I'm sure it was difficult to keep restrooms clean with all the mud, etc tracked in.

Friendly Staff, convenient location (for me). Sites are getting muddy during the rain season, could use some gravel on the sites.

Unfriendly personnel, unleveled and muddy sites. No regulation on dangerous bread dogs. We will never return!

Do not stay here if you have a big rig. My "pull thru" site was not big enough and I had to unhook. Then, in the morning, I had to back out of the space because the road ahead was to narrow. Also, the Wi-Fi didn't work.

Very accomadating and friendly. The park is clean and well run. The only thing that I think may be negative would be that it seemed to be a long distance to any of the Charleston area attractions.

Second time here. Great staff. Very helpful

Access off very busy highway was not good. Otherwise campground was fantastic. Decent sites, people were great. Interior roads need some work. But I would not hesitate to stay here again. Great place to see Charleston and surrounding area from

We love easy on & off the highway & friendliness of the staff.

You need to be able to drain the water when you have heavy rain. I had 4in. of water at the bottom of my steps!!!

Have been Rving for over 35 years. Have not been very impressed with the quality of the KOA campgrounds that we have stayed at in out travels. Year ago we always tried to stay at a KOA because they were all nice. Suggest that maybe someone be checking on campground that carry the KOA name. Thank you

great stay

How can they call this a KOA, it is the worst place we have stayed at ever. They tried to put us on a site that was a swamp, filled with water. They then put in a small site, I could almost reach out my door and touch my neighbor's unit. When asked if they had a better site, staff lied and said that all the others were booked. Not true, there were plenty of sites that were never filled during

The person who took our reservation did not understand what it took to bring a 40'RV + 20'trailer in this park. Had very difficult time driving around and parking. Told us we would get sat and did not. Could not even pick up ATT cell. Large tree limbs over site that I thought would take off AC units. Muddy, very poor setup. Very difficult drive around. Poorly maintained grounds. Stay away!

Not much amenities. Grounds were muddy from heavy rain. But I was given access to rec center for use with family and friends on Saturday, which I appreciated

As we travel from Maine to Florida and back, we always spend a couple of nights with our friends at Charleston KOA. We love the area, see you in the fall!

We had the unfortunate luck of a rainy weekend. Most of the site we had was submerged under 4-6" of water the entire weekend even after the rain had stopped which made for a messy stay. It was a bit of an inconvenience not being able to use the laundry facilties after 7 PM as we went through most of our towels on day one.

We were dissapointed.

Sites are overgrown, too short for today's RVS and very muddy. A pull thru is not a pull thru because the trees overhang the site and you have to back out. There is no cable TV. Too many year around rentals with marginal unattractive RVS. In short, if I owned the KOA brand I would tell them to put major dollars into the park. The park degrades the KOA brand.

STAY HERE EVERY YEAR AND THE BEST. PEOPLE ARE WONDERFUL.

Had a hard time getting our camper out the day we left. Luckily had no one across from us, moved picnic tales and where able to cut through. Also very sandy site while many grass covered ones available.
Apr 19, 2013
Charleston KOA looks run down. The staff are not particularly friendly or helpful, the friendliest was the man collecting garbage bags --he waves and says hi to everyone. We are not likely to stay there again.
Apr 18, 2013
This campground was very muddy. Also, there appeared to be too many people living in the campground, not camping, but living in their campers. Was not a clean, family oriented place. I would not recommend this campgroung at all to anyone.

The park was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The problem was that it seemed to be geared for much smaller units . We were pulling a 35 foot trailer with a Cheve Silverado. Next to us was one of your 5th wheel KOA trailers pulled by a truck. This was the size of most of the units. We left about 6 a.m. Pull Vehicles were parked so close we had to walk the park in the dark

The stay was very nice except for 1 night when tenters carried on until after 1:00 am.

Please tell everyone not to use Doing the Charleston tours in Charleston !!!! BAD DOG
Apr 15, 2013
Drainage from rain made it very unpleasant to walk pets or go out of coaches in pull through sites. Folks were accommodating and pleasant, I believe they are trying to improve the park so I will give them the benefit of the doubt.
Apr 15, 2013
Very clean and the staff was great. It was a bit noisy at night due to the closeness of a major road and fire station. Other than that, it was quite pleasant.
Apr 14, 2013
Big mud hole right in front of campsite, did not dry up even after 3 days of no rain. It needs repair. Front desk do not know which sites have 50amp hookup. I was sent twice to a site with 30amp only.
Apr 14, 2013
Sewer hookups should be mid-site,not at the road!!
Apr 13, 2013
We were very disappointed with the 'seasonal' section of this campground when we took walk. Very unkept campers, never exp this at the many other KOAs we've stayed at. Very scary. Row B&C also unkept but saw the 'hustle' of clean up b4 the mgmt KOA camper arrived though...Also we req specific site, u said - no, but it was never occ. the whole time there (4 days). Dog walk a dump site? Ugh!
Apr 12, 2013
Had to switch camp sites to be able to receive the internet and could only receive the pbs tv stations. After switching sites to B3 which is only 4 from the office we received some internet but still no tv other than the public tv stations(etv) new site was B3. would not want to get into this situation again, we made our reservation 3 weeks in advance and still had problems finding a pull through
Apr 11, 2013
Campground was designed when RV's were shorter and trees smaller. Crowded, so had to back out of a pull through site to exit the park. Comfortable park.
Apr 11, 2013
pleasant staff, clean camping areas, clean laundry area, no cable but 18 channels by antenna. WiFi spotty maybe due to changing tower to cover the bridge run. Would stay there again. Spring flowers were beautiful.
Apr 11, 2013
Very nice campground, picturesque, clean and quite

Spaces were to close together!!! No concrete to park RV on and it was noisy!!!
Apr 10, 2013
this is the first KOA I've stayed at where most sewer dumps were situated near the RV door. If you moved from it, you would need almost 3 lengths of sewer hose to reach the dump!
