The location for enjoying the area is great, however no mention of the busy UP trackage with crossings right behind the park. Do not plan on sleeping unless you pack your earplugs. Park itself was fine, well organized, great breakfast, but does not offset the noisy condition.

Internet was a joke! A group of us all needed it and it just was terrible. TV connection was almost unusable also! Grounds were nice- people were great!

Beautiful location, many tall trees. BUT about 10 freight trains a day (MANY at night)roar thru at the edge of the camp, blowing 3 whistles each time. Pancakes available at reasonable price on weekends was a nice treat.

The staff are great. Nice park. Noisy trains.

Did not sleep well. Train going by every hour all night every day. Great site, well kept, friendly service but way too noisy from the train horns.

Sites were long and shady. The Pool & spa area were adequate but good be cleaner. The Showers were good and always clean. The Laundry Machines need to be 'REPLACED!'. The one negative is the KOA Staff gulf carts and 'Trucks' whipping through the site areas. NOT SAFE, Stop doing this!

Easy, fun, and hassle-free is how we describe our Father's Day weekend at Cascade Locks! The pancake breakfasts were super, the pool was clean and warm, the playground was clean, and our site was shady and neat. Thank you KOA!

Nice place well maintained train noise makes it less than 100%.

The pool was old and in need of repair. The pool was dirty and full or tree material. The hottub was small and dirty also. The Host were grumpy and followed the guest around. The rec room was full of out of order equipment. The bathrooms were old and needed a up grade. The door to the mens rest room didnt even close. The store was poorly stocked. This plce is terrible unless your old.

All was good, wonderful and friendly staff!

Very clean. Friendly, helpful personnel.

The park itself is very nice, though a bit crowded, sites very small. The reason we would not recommend this campground is because of the trains!! They are right behind campground and toot their horn numerous times day and night!! Made sleeping almost impossible! Pancakes were great and everyone very nice.

the nicest people helped us check in, just bought a brand new camper and wasn't sure what type of site to ask for, when I asked for the wrong one, they got me to the right type of site with no hassles! Much obliged

We had a very nice stay. The staff was very accommodating and the campground was very clean. We even enjoyed the train going by.

I really like the shade trees and the dogs liked the grassy areas. Close to all the waterfalls.

Nice grounds, friendly staff. Next to train track, but I like trains.

Let me start by telling you about my stay several years ago. It was great. However, I was extremely upset with my stay this time around. The camp ground has not been maintained. Also water issue. Grounds lost water but the campers were not notified.
Jun 11, 2013
The train traffic was high and the train whistle very loud.

Clean it up. Designate an area for your equipment and old junky picnic tables and install a privacy fence around it. They are eyesores . How about paving the "overrun" sites by the big open tenting area. We paid the same as other paved sites and got an unmowed rocky parking spot..

We have stayed at many KOAs across the country and would rate this as one that needs some upgrading. The public facilites were not clean and the garbage was overflowing and even after it was picked up there was garbage left on the ground. Certainly not what we have become used to in staying at KOAs for the past 5 years.

Nice park, unfortunate trains so often and so close!
Jun 10, 2013
The train going by really is a bother. I would not recommend it or return because of this issue. Also, the picnic tables are very small - more for children than adults.

Campgrounds were nicely spaced and situated under beautiful shady pine trees. Unfortunately, train tracks run along back of campgrounds.Nice place to stay if trains going by all day and night blowing their whistles doesn't bother you. My 13 yr.-old wanted to enjoy the hot-tub/spa but no one under 18 allowed.I can see maybe 12 and under not being allowed but having to be 18 is a bit unreasonable.

Very nice KOA and we could make a FIRE.
Jun 09, 2013
Nice helpful staff. Very pretty location. Good TV. Internal roads, etc, poorly maintained. Wi-Fi is really bad...I mean it sucks! This is a typical old KOA that is continually going downhill.

The most rude and unprofessional staff I have ever encountered at a KOA. I gave serious consideration to cancelling my membership and going with Good Sam. Jeanne, who checked me in later in the evening when I had a problem and talked to her was rude and confrontational. Whoever they sent to fix the electrical problem was incompetent, and knew it all!! If you want more info e-mail me for facts.

Don't blow down the pads or roads anywhere near where someone is camping. We had dust everywhere.
Jun 04, 2013
Please turn off the dust buster. We had dust everywhere.
Jun 03, 2013
Terrible train noise all night. Not designed for big rigs. Impossible to use satellite tv. Smoke from campfires hangs around all day!

This campground is a great location for hikes in its vicinity. We selected it for easy access to the Eagle Creek Trail and the Dog Mountain Trail. The Bridge of the Gods is really convenient for hikes on both sides of the Columbia.

I remember camping here as a child 35 years ago. I was quickly reminded of the very busy train corridor next to the campground. Be sure to have a noise machine to drown out the sound. Otherwise it's a beautiful location.

enjoyed the pancake breakfast.
