Campground Reviews

Jul 24, 2013
The grounds are wonderful, the people are really nice and very helpful-but the trains are really horrible. It was hard to get back to sleep after every train. It is possible if we had been able to stay more than one night we may have gotten used to it, but that wasn't the case. You know what they say, "location, location".

Nice river breeze after 2 weeks in the dry Montana heat. A nice welcome-home-to-Oregon. Nice folks, too!

The campground is great with really nice people but sleeping was difficult with the frequent very close trains.
Jul 23, 2013
Everything was fine accept the train that goes by several times a night and day blowing its horn.

Everything was fine other than the train that goes by several times a night and day blowing its horn.

Very busy campground. Lots of children. Lovely, shaded camp sites. Nice experience.
Jul 22, 2013
Beautiful setting. All the amenities. Friendly camp hosts. Respectful, mellow and quiet camp atmosphere. The train is very close and very loud!

We feel welcome and are quite comfortable here.

Just a question. Why do some rv'ers get escorted to their sights and others don't? What a great park...
Jul 22, 2013
Packed in like sardines and no mention of the freight train that passes right next to the site made for an uncomfortable stay.
Jul 22, 2013
Great staff, clean facilities, beautiful site. Only one flaw, the coal train. They come every 2 hrs. and blow their horn for the crossing. It rattles your teeth.

The campground was a convenient location, clean grounds, the front desk lady wasn't the most cheerful...but overall a good stay

we loved your camp site but we did not really sleep for 2 day we were there because of the 40 trains a day coming by and blowing their whistler every hour of the day or night, sorry

Great except for the trains. Just a wee bit too much. Didn't keep us awake though. We really enjoyed our stay.

Joe & Jean are GREAT hosts !!!!

The older KOA Staff here was very knowledgeable & kept the place running like a clock. Althought it was an older facility it was kept very clean. I would go back even with the train noise.

Stayed on the 4th of July weekend. We tented and the noise of the trains wasn't as bad as expected. Much worse was noise from family group a few sites over.
Jul 19, 2013
Not the nicest koa and the trains all night don't allow for easy resting.

Beautiful location. My children enjoyed the game room, the old fashion playground and of course the pool. The hosts were so friendly. Thanks for making our two day stay incredible.

Location is good - close to great sight-seeing. The train coming through at all hours a wee bit bothersome!

The kids had fun at the swimming pool, game room and rental bikes. Great setting and facilities were well maintained.

I liked the cabin and facilities, but didn't sleep well because of the passing trains. If I stay again it would only be for 1 night.
Jul 16, 2013
staff very helpful, campers friendly!

The Kamping Kabin was great, but the campground was too crowded during July 4 weekend. Bathrooms were dirty from so many people using them.
Jul 16, 2013
The Kamping Kabin was great, but the common bathrooms were dirty.

Beautiful surroundings. Classic site (like those from my childhood) with pool, laundry, game room (pool, foosball, Atari games, etc), playground (swings, slides, teter-totter, etc), bike rental too. Friendly mature staff. Gorgeous surroundings. 1 negative the canyon carries the train sounds. So much to see/do in the area though. Would definitely return here.

Good facility but I did not like the noise of train.
Jul 16, 2013
The campsite was clean and the customer service was amazing. From Check-in to check-out we were extremely satisfied and we will return.
Jul 16, 2013
Clean and well kept Campground. The women staff in check in and store seemed very snooty. Trains every ten minutes all day and night blowing whistles a BIG problem. Would not stay again.

I enjoyed the setting of the campground. Very pretty. It was relatively quiet even though it was very full. I would definitely stay here again.
