Campground Reviews

poorly maintained

Too many trains. Nice campground setting, but the trains passing beside the campground are totally beyond acceptable. Campground needs some refreshing (washrooms).

This is our second visit. We come for a family reunion. The people are great. This year I brought my dog.

I read the previous posts - so the train was not a surprise. The surprise was the pancake breakfast - all you can eat for a really decent price. Expect Great company of other campers, facilities and really nice staff.

I was obvious that this campground cuts corners at every turn in order to make a extra buck. Every thing from the small picnic tables to the small campsites. Generally rundown, only things that are fixed are considered essential from the busted tiles in the pool to the door that sticks horribly in the men's bathroom

tenters were noisy and quiet hours were not enforced. Pool was dirty. Pancake breakfast was good.

We always love our stay at this KOA. We stayed in a deluxe cabin this time. It was nice to have the bathroom in the cabin. My grandson and I travel together once each summer. Last summer and this, he has found delightful friends on the playground. They played for hours and hours then made arrangements to meet the following morning. It is a great, safe, relaxing place to be.

Nice park, the trains were actually soothing, did not bother me at all.
Aug 27, 2013
The campground itself is very nice. The trains that run by multiple times during the day and night are not so cool.

The place was great, with the pool & hot tub, the kabins are priceless! But the location to the train track was the big FAIL! Sorry, I wouldn't stay at that location again when I wanted to get any sleep.

The campground was clean and the staff was friendly. We were disappointed to have a train running next to the campground, blowing its whistle keeping a person awake or waking them up in the night. We would not have stayed there had we known about the train. We enjoy the quiet we have found at other KOA campgrounds.

Train tracks to close and very very loud thoughout the night.People always walking thru our camp. Pool and hot tub waters very cloudy. But staff very freindly and helpful.

We came from Louisiana to vist our son in Oregon. He is a Hot Shot Firefighter with the US Forest Service. It is impossible to predict when he will have a couple of days off between fires. When we asked the owners here to extend our stay a few days while we waited for him, they were so helpful. We were able to extend and stay in the same campsite without moving around. We DID get to see our son !

Staff was friendly and helpful. Sites were an ok size. The pool and hot tub did not look clean, the water was cloudy and green looking. The bathrooms were clean but looked very dirty and old. The wii fii was not good, very hard to find and keep a signal. All in all I think for the money, I expected more.

The cabin was great, neighbors at the site were very pleasant. It was perfect for the much needed getaway.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The trains were a bit loud and annoying however.

Great Location for Gorge activities... However if you want to sleep stay in a hotel for the train whistle is really bad... lots of kids, nice people, great breakfast, nice campground..., trains are obnoxious

Train runs along campground all night Not enjoyable at all
Aug 26, 2013
Very loud campground. Trains ~50 yards from camp, honking horns all night.not to mention loud music playing well past quiet hours. upside, the workers were very kind and helpful.

I was not able to choose my campsite as one was allocated to me. At other campsites I have always had a choice. Also it was too close to other campers so I did not feel like I was having a real camping experience.one couple had a strong lantern that illuminated the whole area including ours flooding us in light we did not want. There at least 10 trains that hooted throughout the night .

Nice area. Nice campground. Nice folk. Pool and hot tub need better upkeep and maintainence, but all in all a spot we would come back to.

Nice and clean. Friendly "Yellow shirts". Had a great time.

Our Daughter enjoyed the pool, even though the water was cold. We arrived on a Sunday and the Trains seemed to stop at about 8pm. Not so on the second night. they came about every hour all night. Location is good for sight seeing in area.

Had a great time. Yes the trains were there but they didn't bother us. Pancake breakfast was great. Kids had a great time.

Overall, this KOA was just what we needed to reconnect as a family. There were five games in the arcade room that were out of order though.

beautiful campground, well kept, large shaded sites, friendly knowledgeable staff, we WILL be back to stay here again and again.
Aug 23, 2013
The pancake breakfast was a wonderful treat after packing, driving & camping for the night. Simple pleasures of evening dip in the pool & breakfast made for us really made the trip.
Aug 23, 2013
Great service. So, so amenities.
Aug 22, 2013
Loved the campground. Hated the trains.
Aug 22, 2013
the trains are a little loud. not the fault of the park.
Aug 22, 2013
TRAINS...TRAINS...TRAINS! If you want a restful nights sleep...go somewhere else. The railroad track runs right by the campground at night and they BLOW their horns. we won't be back!
Aug 22, 2013
except for the trains everything was great. You can't do anything about the trains.
Aug 22, 2013
Staff was friendly and helpful. Amenities were okay. Location was terrible, nestled between a busy road connecting the Interstate and a very active freight-train line.

Aug 21, 2013
Way too packed in. There was no real room between the sites. And the sewer dump for the people next to us was less than 10 feet from our picnick table even after we moved it. Pool area was in bad shape with broken cement on sides of pool. Playground was run down. I will not return to this location and will tell others about my concerns.
Aug 21, 2013
The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The grounds were great but the train running through it means that we will not be returning to this location. We will be trying out other KOA locations though!
Aug 21, 2013
Very nice campground even with the train noise. Would stay again.
Aug 21, 2013
The campground it self was nice. The bathrooms need a bit of updating. The staff was wonderful, but the trains that go by. During our stay it was like ever 20 to 30 minutes. They blow there horn and us being in a tent it was SOOOO LOUD!!! If the trains weren't around it would be a 10.
Aug 21, 2013
nice campground. Clean Too close to the traintrack
Aug 20, 2013
Stayed here twice on the trip. The bathrooms and the campground were wonderful
