Considering the surroundings of the desert and the very high heat, this place was kind of neat. We were able to see lots of things in the area and had a great time in this park. The pool was outstanding and the bats flying around the entrance lights at night eating the bug flying in the lights was the best free show we could ask for. Our Granddaughters loved staying here as well as my wife and I!

The shower area was clean. The campground was well maintained. The staff was helpful. Good location for us as we like to check out the history of the areas we visit

Probably the most disappointing KOA we have stayed at. Satellite bathrooms were pretty disgusting, and main one not much better!! Campsite not well maintained. Very disappointing for a KOA.

We loved our stay at Carlsbad KOA! It was clean, quiet, lots of room between sites, really nice K9 park, a nature walk and super location to the Caverns, Sitting Bull Falls, Living Desert, Downtown Carlsbad and Artesia. It’s well maintained, on site propane and friendly staff. Everything you need in a campground!

Huge sites, extra wide roads, so easy for our 44 ft 5th wheel to navigate. The staff were great. We were late leaving and they were great about it.

Very nice folks. Close to the lake and to Carlsbad Caverns. The water has a peculiar taste that didn’t agree with me, so make sure to try it before filling up your tank.

Great campground and friendly office staff (Tara was great) and far enough off the highway for peace and quiet! Will definitely return! Do not pass it up!����

The signage on the highway is very hard to see at night coming from Artresia. The office staff in the morning could not have been less interested in us when we stopped in to ask a question before we left. Would never stay again.

The facility was very clean and the staff friendly. The location is not the most attractive and I was surprised how far it was from the town of Carlsbad and a long way from the caverns.

I only stayed one night. I liked the gift shop and the showers were clean. Staff was friendly. Site was level. Wifi was slow, but it worked.

The bathrooms, particularly the showers need to be cleaned. There was hair on the shower floor and on the mats in the shower. The laundry room was very clean.

We only stayed one night because we were heading home but it is very nice and clean with large spaces. We were very comfortable and I loved the fenced in dog park. Its hard to travel with dogs but we don't want to put them in a kennel so a fenced in area for them to get exercise is wonderful. A dog park is one of the things we look for when we choose our campgrounds for the night.

This should be categorized as a Journey, not a Holiday. Nice level sites but the bathrooms are only cleaned 11a-1p daily and by evening the bathhouse bathrooms were gross. There is a sewer smell but that is not their fault. Another KOA that needs a recycling bin, not just a dumpster. It’s 2024 can’t we all pitch in just a little?!? GET A RECYCLING BIN!

Dirty, dusty, not nice. Pool was a mud pit (cover it if you’re not using it) laundry room used by staff for rental cottages. Office was sparse with overpriced supplies. So disappointed with this facility. It should not be a KOA; not what expected for KOA. Bathrooms not clean, shower had mold in corners. Restaurant not open. So disappointed.

Extremely friendly staff, very spacious sites and very clean and well maintained. A little ways out of Carlsbad (20+ minutes to get into town to shop) so it's "secluded" but we liked that. We only had 2 issues: 1. there was an occasional smell like sewer? We thought it was our RV but it's not & there are other reviews about this. 2. VERY hard water, its okay for a few days but leaves stains.

We have always like this park but won't be back. Paid for full hookups but didn't have water because the faucet didn't work. My husband had to hookup to another site. He reported the problem but no one showed up to check it out. My husband fixed it the best he could do we could have water. I sweep the laundry room floor because it was very dirty.

The sites are large and level. It was easy for us to maneuver our 40ft rig. The girl that checked us in was wonderful! The fellow travelers were great to converse with. NOT close to Carlsbad or the caverns but quiet and clean.

Wonderful place! Self registration was easy. The bathrooms, showers and laundry areas were SPOTLESS! The grounds were tidy and we barely had to level our trailer. Super convenient location and signage to get here. Added bonus was a breakfast cafe!!

We would not recommend this location. This was rated a KOA Holiday, but there were no amenities that I associate with a KOA Holiday. The bathrooms were dirty; considering there were few other campers, I don't think they'd been cleaned in a while. The women's showers were gross with hair all over the floor. A better option would have been boondocking on BLM land closer to the National Park.

Lots of room, everything was clean. Level rv pads, wonderful showers, nice dog play area. Was cold so no pool time but the pool looked like it would be enjoyable. The showers were terrific.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The weather turned very cold and I received a notice by e-mail of a possible freeze so we could prepare to avoid freeze damage.

Maintenance department was grading the roads near camp site. Caused major dusting all over our food while trying to cook on grill. Requested them to stop no response . Nice Koa but lack of response ruined evening outdoor supper

Great RV spots. Very spacious! Well kept, very clean. About 45 mins from Carlsbad Caverns. They do make pizzas on site, but the nearest restaurant or store is about 30mins. Still really great KOA

Showers were wonderful, staff was friendly. Liked the activity room and games. Price was reasonable. If anything was not right, I would say that shower curtains need cleaned routinely, they had mildew on the bottom
