Nice, friendly people, gorgeous spot right on the Crystal river. I’m admittedly biased - this may be my favorite KOA - but with good reason!

Beautiful place on Crystal River. Nice tent sites under trees and very clean showers and restrooms. We also stayed in cabin C11 which was super spacious and cozy. The staff was friendly and very helpful. They offered to help us move some equipment from the tent site to the cabin. Loved our stay and will highly recommend!

It was a short but sweet overnighter before backpacking the Four Pass Loop. Will definitely be coming back for a longer stay next time!

Very clean restrooms,showers, grounds! Beautiful setting along the Crystal River was the best campground I have ever seen! Very friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommend! I can say that I would drive a long distance out of my way to stay there again!

Clean property & facilities. Great pool. Wifi is a bonus. Overall great KOA camping experience. Highly recommend. Staff is super friendly too!

Was the best KOA we have ever stayed at. Staff was super friendly and area was very clean. Was nice to take a shower in a clean bathroom that didn't have mold everywhere, bathrooms were super clean! The whole site was clean and kid friendly. Our tent site was beautiful and a short walk to the river. Just was amazing!

The kids (4 and 6) loved playing at the playground. They also loved getting ice cream at the store. The restrooms and hot showers were wonderful. We had a tent and pop-up truck camper.

Sweet campground right on the Crystal River. Well appointed, clean bathrooms and the pool and playground were fun. The hosts were kind and helpful and take good care of the place.

The noise level of the road was extremely loud. We did not get a good night sleep at all. The kids kept waking up.

I explored Colorado's great nature for two weeks and stayed this KOA in three separate periods. The campground is located in a wonderful place, next to Crystal River and at the foot of Mt Sopris. Hosts are very friendly and they dealt with my requests to change the reservations very well. Facilities are great. Only things I didn't like: 1) the cheaper site was not shaded 2) there were mosquitos.

It was very hot and my tent was in the sun until nearly sunset, but the campground had very nice and clean amenities in a beautiful setting.

This is a clean and comfortable campsite right on the Crystal River. From my tent I could see people fly fishing. The weather was warm but the pool kept us cool and relaxed. We biked the 6 mile paved path into town and all the way to Basalt and back. The showers were clean and everything was well-maintained and working. I would happily stay here again.

If you are looking to get away from the city and listen to the birds and the sounds of nature, this place is not it. Located right next to a busy highway, all you hear is the sound of traffic. I suspect the sites right by the river are less of an issue, if you can book one. Otherwise, standard KOA amenities are great (clean bathroom/shower, good wifi, etc.)

I checked in around 3:30 on Friday the 15th of July and the woman at the front desk was very helpful and nice. So important at this time of crazy politics, weather patterns going feral, and violence in America. It is so nice to go to a place that I trust to be sane, beautiful and welcoming. The campground is very organized, clean and beautiful. Thanks for another great stay. I'll be back.

Lovely, well kept campground with great staff! Loved everything about it. The only downside is that it is next to the road, but there is next to none traffic at nite and during the day you hardly notice it. Loved sleeping to the sound of the river. Extremely clean bath house, nice Pool and cozy clubhouse with lots of games for a rainy day. Little shop but grocery store not that far away.

Office staff very friendly and helpful. Maintenance staff did great job preparing and cleaning sites. Bathroom was nice and kept clean. Unfortunately, this KOA is right next to the road, so you do hear traffic during the day. Quiets down some at night. The friendliness of the staff makes up for proximity to the road.

This KOA is nicely maintained and our campsite was good. The only drawback is that it is right next to the busy Colorado Highway 133 and can be a bit noisy from the traffic.

I have been out West for 3 weeks staying exclusively at KOAs. Out of the 5 I stayed at this one was very disappointing. I asked for a different camp location due to its location near the road. The front desk person refused to accommodate me even though the camp site I requested were never occupied. Very dissatisfied with the cooperation and customer service with this location.

The owner/manager was rude to me twice during my stay. Clearly, he reacts and runs off at the mouth before thinking or trying to understand the situation. We all know this type of person and they are usually described with anatomical references. This person should not be in a customer service oriented industry.

We had a tent site for one night. Beautiful locations. Showers were nice to have. Only two bathroom stalls. Lady at check in was super friendly!

Always a great experience staying at the Carbondale KOA. The staff are incredibly friendly, the facilities are always immaculately clean, the sites are located right along the river, there’s a bike trail that leads into town, there’s a pool, laundry, pool table, store and dog park. What else could you ask for. Perfect location to base yourself for some amazing scenery.

This KOA was amazing. Location, cabins, host all great. Arrived with some snow and still got a great tour of the campgrounds. We stayed right next to the river with a view of mountains as soon as you walk out.

Overall good stay, clean, and friendly staff. BUT we went to leave on the closing date and water was shut off so couldn't flush out the tank.
