Outer Banks KOA was fabulous! We loved our stay! The people who work there were all very nice and helpful. The place was clean and well maintained. The campsite we had was really nice. It had a shade cover, picnic table, table and chairs and a great fire pit. I highly recommend this KOA!

Very nice facility. Facilities were cleaned regularly and the grounds were clean and well maintained. We plan to visit again.

The location is a reasonable distance to several attractions. The camp is OK, but not what I'd call a "resort". The escorts and grounds staff were very nice. The store/office staff could be a little friendlier.

We loved your campground especially the hot tub! So relaxing. Great shower close to us. The Gale weather alert did scare us a little as we rocked and rolled. Can't swim in the nearby ocean due to rup currents so I'm glad you have rhat beautiful pool. Staff also very friendly. Would stay there again.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Staff were always available and very friendly. Loved the Halloween festivities and tiki bar. Highly recommend staying at this KOA.

The only issue was we paid to be locked in to the site next to our friends and that didnt happen. I know thing happen but ive been trying to be put next to our friends for a while and something always happens. Other than that we will be back.

We love the Rodanthe KOA we have three more trips planned in 2024 and I’m sure we’ll schedule some more. We love the dog park. We love the beach. We love everything about the campground and the staff is outstanding.

Great place very quiet clean and sites where level. No noise at night but the sound of the ocean was great thing to listen to at night. Loved the daily activities text. Will for sure be back.

Very Nice campground, but the hot tube was broken. Also my campsite flooded after a night of rain. The employees were very nice except one at the front desk, woman, long brown hairs who was a bit rude for no reason, maybe she had a bad day? But overall i would come back again but i will make sure before if the hot tub is working properly, and ask another campsite than the 359.

Was great, loved most things. Suggest some adult time at the Tiki, cleaning the jacuzzi more often. Our stay over all was great. Loved how clean and organized the grounds an operations were. Loved the informational text throughout our stay. We will definitely return! Highly recommended!

Love this place, coming back next year. Only disappointment was 2 days before I was scheduled to leave, another camper beside me dogs deficated all around my camp site near the back. They were gone most of the time. Had to watch your steps, and wait for them to return to clean up. Stinky!

We loved the layout of this KOA. To be able to see the sunrise from the beach and sunset across the road is a first for us. The WI-FI was a little sketchy at times. Pool beautiful. Disappointed that the cafe is closed in January when we return.

We came for the Halloween weekend and the stay was great as always! The staff is nothing short of fantastic! My only complaint is where we stayed this time, on the dunes, was FULL of sand spurs. Not only did we get them in our feet, but our dogs couldn't go to the bathroom without getting spurs stuck in their paws, which is incredibly painful. I haven't had any issues with any other sites.

The staff is great. The campground is great. What makes it special though is you go over a sand dune that is maybe 20 feet high & you are on the Atlantic Ocean. For many Octobers my wife, our dog, & I have camped here & honestly we love it. My wife & I have camped at KOAs all over America & most are nice, some are special, but the position of this one has us coming back year after year.

DO NOT STAY HERE! I CANNOT SAY IT ENOUGH.They would not let us check in early even though I offered to pay early check-in fee & even extra night stay. Our site was vacant as of 7:30 the morning we arrived so there was no reason why we shouldn't have been allowed to check in.WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN OR RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.GREAT CAMPGROUNDS TO THE LEFT AND RIGHT OF THIS LOCATION. DO NOT STAY HERE

It is well maintained, loved the family bathroom and easy access to the beach. Wished there was a live band every night.

Great place; beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Sites are good size, shade shelters really helped. Watch out for spurs in the grass, had to check my dog constantly, but I understand it’s part of the landscape of the area.

We have been here many times, both in and off season, and of course the location is top notch and very friendly KOA staff as always. Amenities and activities can be excellent for families. Really like the new text alerts for activities and important updates on the very large, beautiful grounds. However, unfortunately our most recent visit (April 2024) had a few issues. Even though we understand its the off season and it's a relatively remote location, the facilities could really use some updates and upgrades. Hot tub broken, no WIFI and only two cable channels, no lights at volleyball, beach showers by dunes broken and rusted handles. Hope for improvements in the future, as we would still like to return!

First off I would recommend this KOA to all, I see some of the bad reviews and totally disagree. The spots are very level, the staff is caring and amazing, the bath houses are super clean, the beach area is awesome, the sunsets ( waking distance) across the street are to die for and the wifi actually does work but don't expect high speed, use your own hotspot. This KOA is very centrally located and within driving distance to all of the outer banks attractions. Thank you KOA staff for making our visit amazing and our pups also thank you for the very nice large dog parks, woof.
