Campground Reviews

Nice people. Very clean. Tent spaces were reasonable priced.

A great place to stay if one plans to tour several of the parks and monuments in the area. All facilities were very satisfactory and the staff were most friendly.
Apr 18, 2014
The accommodations were very nice, the cabin was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, although it was stated to bring your own bedding, there was no mention to bring towels. Also, the website should mention the office is closed from 1230pm - 330pm.

Great place to stay that is central to things to see and do along Highway 12 in the Bryce Valley area. And, a good place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the Bryce NP area.

Extremely friendly and the cleanest facilities we have ever seen.

We stayed in a two room cabin and it was very nice and cozy. The kids had a blast playing ping pong and playing on the playground. The showers and restrooms were very clean. The staff was very nice and helpful. We would love to stay there again.

Pros: Nice set up, clean campground, lots of activities for the kids, store, shower, bathroom, the works. Close to lots of parks. Cons: Advertised a pool, but wasnt open and ready yet. Some staff was a little rude, never greeted us, didn't enforce the no smoking in the shower and bathroom rule, so most my showers reeked of smoke.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We apologize for the pool confusion. On our website and our directory listing, we state that the pool opens Memorial Day weekend. I'm not sure why there was a problem with smoke smell in the shower. We definitely DO enforce that rule and haven't had problems in the past. However, thanks for staying.

Lovely location. Excellent service. Two of the nicest ladies EVER in the office. I was a little disappointed that we paid for a larger cabin with its own bathroom but the shower didn't work all that well because the pipes were frozen. I thought we might get a little discount since we didn't exactly get what we paid for. I'd go back though!

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The reception area was neat and appealing. I did not have to use the bathroom/shower facilities so I can't rate them.

Les terrains en haut à côté de la montagne sont fantastiques.

Great location - remote but with easy access to Kodachrome Basin, Escalante Staircase and Byrce Canyon. Campground was clean, well run and sites had a decent amount of space. Small but nice dog run. Stayed in March just after season opening so might be a little different when it is packed but sites didn't feel cramped.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you very much for staying with us. I'm glad the weather was somewhat bearable and please come visit us again, if you are ever in the area.

Although the staff at this KOA was great, we thought the location was a little bleak and were disappointed that the water source was turned off at night. Yes, we understand that it was very cold but we wish we had known that ahead. Also, some benches or stools in the shower rooms would be great for setting down personal items. I used the handicapped shower since it had a chair and was bigger.

Great place to stay seeing Bryce Canyon or surrounding area. Friendly staff. Helpful advice from owners for seeing the sites. Showers, laundry, and playground for kids, just what we needed after 3 days on the road.

extremely friendly and helpful staff but campground itself lacks grass/trees/space etc

Second time staying at the canyonville koa and trust it every time. It's my favorite get away. Love the cabins, the hosts are helpful and friendly. The prices are such hat I'm not I'm not always thinking about the expense of it and can even afford to stay extra time if I wanted. Can't say enough. Will be back as often as possible. Thanks.

The hosts, Chris and John, were very helpful and welcoming. It's a beautiful area, and the campground has nice vegetation, level sites, and good amenities. We were there in March, so the pool was not open. Great access to Bryce Canyon, Kodachrome State Park, and the Escalante region.

Nice clean cabin, friendly, organized people.

Stayed in the 2bedrm cabin, very nicely setup. The beds have just enough space to walkby on the sides, beds themselves were adequate dont expect plush mattress but plenty of hanging and storage space. Airconditioner worked great in late July. The onsite general store was verywell stocked, the pool is small, KOA is clean &quiet. You have to bring your own towels & bedding. Best for longterm stays.

Deluxe Cabin was well-equipped, very clean, with modern amenities and upgraded beds. Beautiful campsite, nice landscaping, stunning location about 10 min from Bryce NP. Helpful employees, nice store, facilities. I would stay here again. One thing to consider is that this KOA is at a much lower altitude than Bryce so that can be hard on some folks to go up and down extreme altitudes each day.

Bien mais attention de bien prendre des sacs de couchage pour les nuits dans les chalets. A disposition: une piscine et une laverie.Coté pratique: on est à 10 mn de Kodachrome Basin et 45 mn de Bryce Canyon.
